:spit:

Seems everybody loves the phoon except me :k24t: and I'm sticking to my guns. As far as the auto goes DrZ, my question is that if they can't even get the clutch right in the manual (which has a G/box that rattles like hell in most gears) what hope is there of getting an auto to handle the power

IMHO if you were going to buy a T or a Dust Storm, you would be much better off both financially and power wise with an APS modded T. I think you made the correct choice :smilielol:

Welcome to the Typhoon club turbocorty. :smilielol: I've had my Typhoon on order for a couple of weeks and it has been a emotional rollercoaster ride reading all the posts on this forum. People can do backflips on their opinions on the Typhoon in just a matter of a day and my opinion is that you should just wait awhile and let time tell the full story instead of going emotional on every issue that arises.

Don't let these issues make you regret your purchase. I know that in the end I will be happy with the car because I'm not the type of person who will take notice of every little detail of the car. As long as it is comfortable, fast and supplies the torque when I need it, then I will be happy. I'm pretty confident that it would be a great street car.

Silver is one of the best colours and it seems that most people are getting that. Only problem is that it's going to be really common for that car.

If I am not mistaken , many if not all the Phase 2 bits will completely bolt on to the Phoon :spoton: . With stronger internals , bigger IC lthe phoon looks very strong . All we need is the 6 ( preferably for me a 5 Speed Auto) and 300 rwkw and low 12 1/4s here we come :spoton:

Never guess whats on Santas 2005/6 shopping list :w00t2:

You can easily do that with the Turbo, let alone the phoon. People are running 330rwkw with stock internals in the T...

If you're renewing your lease get a Xr8 or GT. The put the Twin Turbo on it. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will touch you... :ermm:

The official delivery date is now the 24th Feb.....

George, I'd be interested to hear what your plans are for audio/visual mods to the Typhoon. When you eventually get the car anyway...

Cheers,

Hi,

The official delivery date is now the 24th Feb.....

on a side note..

I love reading about how a modified XR6T is faster than a F6. Is anyone surprised?

When I compare two vehicles, I compare them in standard form...not what can be done if I modify it. To give you an example, I have a 74 Cortina that I picked up for $400.00 and modified with a EFI / Intercooler 250 that would probably beat 90% of the XR6T's on this forum....Is it a better car?..sh*t no! the only thing it 's good for is going in a straight line.

I must agree that we are paying too much for the F6, but at the end of the day, it is has its immediate and long term benefits. I know the F6 will hold its value better than a T in the long run, and the extra money I pay now will be equivalent to the money I would lose when selling my used T.

But, If the F6 did not exist, I would buy a T for sure.

Cheers

G
