Member 890 Member For: 20y 7m 17d Gender: Male Location: Tweed Heads Posted 12/12/04 06:46 PM Share Posted 12/12/04 06:46 PM I use Maguires Canauba Wax, smells great like bananas,very easy to use,(wax on wax off),can use it as often as you like, but I use it about every 2 months,I usually wash my car with plain water,only if its very dirty (mud) I use a special canauba wax based car wash (no brand as my mate is a detailer and gets it in bulk),I always chamois every crack & nookie (inside doors, under bonnet etc)Finally a quick spray around the tryes with Armorall Tyre Foam,Its cheap its easy and looks good!All pretty basic stuff really cheers B.B. One for the car and one for the wheels. Brake dust is very abrasive to paint work and you don't want it getting into your sponge that you clean the car with.As for polishing/waxing I pay a detailer to polish and wax my car every three months or so because he does an excellent job and cheep too.Internal parts of the car I use baby oil because it doesn't dry the dash out like Armour-all does.On the tyres I use Maguires gloss tyre shine because it's the best I can find and doesn't flake off like alot of other painted on products do.
