V8 knuckleheads will always be v8 knucleheads, It won't worry them in the slightest if the F6 is faster, they'll come up with a multitude of reasons why an 8 is better. (much like some here do when someone says a WRX is faster than a XR6T) he's just p!ssed that Ford have the jump on them in the performance 6 cyl market.

1. HSV marketing isnt that great - their supercharged 6 was a flop.

We are all forgetting the STAIN FACTOR here.

The Typhoon will cause Ford guys to get a stain at the front of their pants.

Expensive Daewoo guys will get stains at the back of their pants.

Women who are interested in cars will almost all get their stains in a spot sorta in between.

After spending all morning in the yard in pouring rain trying to divert water this has put a smile back on me face

The main difference in sales between the two is HSV has a much bigger range and they have a buyer base that goes back 15 years. FPV has only now added a Turbo 6, they have no lwb model and they don't have a range topper to tackle the GTS. The Tornado also won't be available until early next year and the F6 auto is still 12 months away. Once FPV get a full line up of vehicles sales will slowly build and once a few more years go by it will start to get a buyer base like HSV has built up over the years. It will just take time.
