20/10/04 01:14 AM20/10/04 01:14 AM #3 I went to order a new mk11 turbo but the sales man told me that ford have not got enough 6 speeds and and I mighten be able to get one until january/febuary apparently they only made 600 gearboxes and they have all ready been sold you must be joking..you're saying 600 gearboxs to cover xr6t sales only, or worse still, 600 6 speed boxes to cover all sales..ie xr8/fpv range etc..
20/10/04 01:37 AM20/10/04 01:37 AM #4 I ordered mine on saturday and the salesman said 4 weeks....maybe I got the last one! Dave.
20/10/04 01:47 AM20/10/04 01:47 AM #6 that's a joke! What is ford doing?Rob... The answer to that is obviously clear. They are trying there hardest to lose their market share to Expensive Daewoo and Toyota. Dazza.
20/10/04 03:01 AM20/10/04 03:01 AM #7 If you think a company would do this intentionally you are crazy. The most likely explanation is that the parts supplier just cant supply enough product to them, nothing more nothing less..
20/10/04 03:32 AM20/10/04 03:32 AM #8 Sounds more like dealer bs ... move onto the next one ... my local has some in stock already
20/10/04 03:38 AM20/10/04 03:38 AM #9 I strongly agree with jteale on this one. In general, if a dealer passes on any puzzling information, try another dealer.
20/10/04 04:40 AM20/10/04 04:40 AM #10 you must be joking..you're saying 600 gearboxs to cover xr6t sales only, or worse still, 600 6 speed boxes to cover all sales..ie xr8/fpv range etc..Don't forget that most XRT's are SSS (super slow slushbox?? now ive started it!) and that the XRT'S have different gearbox ratios than the FPV/XR8 that's why I posed the question as to whether the 600 units was the total g/boxs available in 6speed guise to cover all mk11 series sales....or for the xr6t only.this question is still to be answered.
