so with the new 6 speed coming out, which gearbox is going to be the stronger or the two and thus the one that will handle mods better?

I know the 6 speed tremac is in the commodores already and I have not heard of many cases of the gearbox breaking but which gearbox will be the better pick out of the falcon auto and 6 speed?

xspsi, it depends if u wana go fast or almost as fast. The best times done downn the ¼mile are generally by autos... One can certainly get nice figures on the dyno, but the real measure is the track :spoton:

I wanna evantually go fast. :spoton:

My 200sx has run 11 sec times @ 124mph but I am selling that now as I can't keep the 200 and get a Ford XR6 turbo. An auto will make a nice change and will be a lot easier to drive down the 1/4.

turbodewd, I've never been a dyno racer and agree that the real figures are done on the track.

When I ordered my auto, I never realised it had 3 modes. I thought is just full auto, and manual changing. When I found out about the performance auto mode, I couldn't wait to try it. It changes gears better than I can in manual mode, and I find it hard to think of any reason to use manual now at all. Love it !
