watched an exhaust upgraded GT being dynoed yesterday..speaking to the owner it was pulling before mods 232rwkw...unfortunately while they dynoing it with the new exhaust it was leaning out so I dont know what it achieved..Just interest what the GT are pulling with Herrop exhaust ...from what I gather the engine had to be pulled out to do the headers :spoton:

Don't know about pulling the motor out to do the headers, have seen a few pacemakers go in and the motors did not have to be taken out.

232rwkw for a totally unmodded 290 Boss is pretty good, a manual I would say. I would imagine he could see just over 240 with the headers.

When motor mag did the great Aussie muscle car shoot out they dynoed the GT at 225 rwkw and the HSV at 218 rwkw, of course we all know that the Turbo ended up winning the day across all the tests. I have had the chance on a couple of occasions to run against GT's and have found that anywhere from 0-150 I have been in front which would support a rwkw around the 225 mark, allowing for the weight difference, 230+ would be a good sorted stock GT, just like a Stock T putting out 200+ at the rears. Of course the sound and the look, ahhhh :spoton:

Regards

GJ

there is no need to remove the engine to fit either the Di filippo hedders witch are the series 1 herrod hedders or the Pacemaker hedders that are the same as the series 2 herrod hedders with a 3" collector

I have personally fitted both of these hedders to my ute & have not had to remove the engine

herrod will remove the engine for the headers to be replaced. reason herrod does this is so there is less chance of damage to the customers car. I believe alot of other tuning houses have made or modified a spanner so that the engine remains in the vehicle.

I've been there when they've done one. They have got it down to a fine art. They drop the motor and gearbox under the car. They say that they can do the job a lot easier and line up headers better. less risk to customers car also. Does'nt take them very long

they were also dynoing a GT pulled 242rwkw
