Does the car feel more responsive with the intake mods you made, the new exhaust on my car has made the car feel more lively?

Macka, from my perspective being a manual I would say yes it has freed it up a bit. More throttle response and a much bigger flutter noise when changing gears, this is more apparent when it gets colder, so I would presume it's doing the job.

From my previous experience with modifying turbo cars is the first criteria is to 'Free up' the car with it's breathing, this is obviously done via exhaust, air intake and similar mods. The T seems to be designed slightly different to the 'Ricers' of this world where ford seemed to have engineered the car, so as to make it harder to get large gains from small modifications, just my 2c.

The exact gains of the induction I am unaware of, I do believe there was one forum member who put their T on a dyno after the mod, and claimed up to a 5kw gain, But I will stand corrected. All I know is that everyone who has performed it in one way or another has been happy with the result. Now it's just down to how much you want to spend and how you want to do it.

Just had my first mod done new exhaust from the cat back by Rob Herrod and I'm very happy with the result, cars sounds better and picked up 14 rwkw.

I only have the last Dyno graph to show you I forgot to grab the first one before exhaust was done. I can tell you that the original dyno run produced 170 rwkw which was I thought a little on the low side. I am having converter problems which may have contributed to low result. New trans going in next week that's another story.

Has anyone used the BPT intake seems to well constructed $322 + Filter

I take it that this is the mild steel system?

It's $1300 fitted for the Stainless one, supplied and fitted from Herrod.

I highly recommend getting the BPT intake and XR8 filter, it gives you better throttle response and the car seems to rev a lot easier as well.

I'll second that!!

I've done the same thing, except I just glued an 86mm piece of tube into the aircleaner housing instead of the Battens thing - looks more like a factory item.

The guys using the xr8 under headlight induction setup. Are you guys keeping the original airbox from your T and just adding another peice to run to the air box, or are you using the xr8 airbox also?

Yeh using origanal T box with 100mm pipe and XR8 snorkel.....cheap mod

I use the XR8/GT airfilter and intake combined with the XR6 snorkle

Yeh, As I plan to turn the car over every 40,000 km through business I thought I'd go for the mild steel exhaust and put the remainder of $1300 into other mods like intake & piggy back ecu. Can change them onto next car. The Xr8 pod would be a purchase through ford dealer. Yes!!!

I think I'll do something like what a lot you guy's have done as you should be able to purchase a lot of this from Ford or make.

What's your thought's I plan to have the Xede done next week would it be best to have CAI done before this or does'nt matter
