In QLD I dont think a superint. would know what a ticket book is. The only time where hear from the bosses in their work cars is when someone has done something damn stupid in front of him.

And right there is the main reason I would love to see Geea beat this and would offer whatever help I could.

Being at the "bottom of the food chain", so to speak, the bosses upstairs never have a kind thing to say about me, so why should I about them?

When I was checking out the Acid Rush XR8 HWP car in Cooma, I noticed there was a flouro sticker on his dash right under the speedo that said 'Not Calibrated'. And this car was actually on duty. Maybe the Plonkster or The Glove can shed a bit of light as to why the speedo wasn't calibrated when pople are saying all cop cars speedos are.

In general, this site is great for learning about real-life stories regarding mitigating your penalties for speeding-related offences so share it around...but don't tell the constabulary about this site.. :w00t2:

Sorry Dr Z but that site is the biggest load of crap I've ever read.

Gems like this: "NOTHING beats the tear choked story about how peacefully your cat just died in your arms and that you are going to pick up your disabled brother, because you can't bring yourself to bury the deceased creature. Ask the officer to help you instead. Tell him the life story of your pet...".

Yeah great advice that website.

That sticker will indicate to go off the digital readout only for calibration evidence.

BA Turbs, I hope no Vic Superintendants are surfing this site. If so you may have some country service ahead of you. :w00t2: I agree with you though. I behave and still get sent to the Cape stations.

Nice find Scootre, and I stay by my quote of "some gems"...one man's trash is another man's treasure. :gooff:

What I was most advocating is some of the advice AFTER you receive your ticket, not a lot of the other nonsense shown there.

Safe and happy driving...Dr Z. :ermm:

Story time for me: About 18 months ago.

I have a transplant and used to attend the JHH in Newcastle every morning for tests. Its a 45 minute run north for me up the F3 from the Central Coast. I was driving my WRX up and sitting on a constant 120, keeping to the left lane (ppl who don't do this are a pet hate of mine) when a white unmarked van I had just overtaken came roaring back up behind me flashing his high beam lights and waving his fists. At first I ignored them, but after a while I accelerated to get away from the idiot, not wanting to incite a road rage incident.

Within 5 km the van would be back on my bumper. On one occasion I let him past me and he hit his brakes in front of me, so as soon as I could I got past (not too hard in the wrx) and left him again.

On the Wallsend link road the doof was up my azz again, with his lights flashing etc, so I called the Police in Wallsend. The kind lady said to come straight there as they had no cars in the area between the station and me. Enroute to the station however, I got lost and turned down a one way street. The idiot in the van blocked the exit to the street with his car and came running down to my car. I left the motor running and locked the doors, and made sure all the windows were up. He banged on the window and pointed to a little badge on the shoulder of his overalls that alluded he was a member of the force. I cracked my window about an inch and he started abusing me and carrying on. He demanded my licence and said I would be reported for reckless driving and speeding etc. I told him that I was on my way to the local police station to lodge a complaint against him for harrassment and dangerous driving. I asked him for his complete details including badge details and command before he got any of my details. After he complied, I gave him my licence thru the window. He want away and wrote down all the specs, and returned to the car.

We then both drove (coincidence) to the local station, where I was good to my word and lodged a complaint. After he left in a huff, some of the local police including the girl I had spoken to on the phone said he was a cranky old bas*ard and he was the Local Area Commander for there! They said I would probably get a letter, but I never have.

I believe to this day that he was driving more offensively that I was and his attitude on the day was completely unneccesary. If he had called ahead for a HWP car to get me for speeding, that would have been fine.

Sorry for the rant. Maybe he just didn't like WRXs. Geea, fight the bastards. Clog the court system with complaints about these petty fines and maybe we will see the system change. United we stand, divided we fall...
