Seems there is huge order backlog due to its popularity.I hope its worth the wait, as I cant sleep at night.........It better be here before my birthday in beginning July........or I'll be really mad....... :holiday: dutchiePS I did not even order the Luxury pack except for Sunroof, SSS and Premium Sound!!! All BA's and Territories will be made on the same line so its possible that this would lengthen the time for any BA orders. The stock levels of this model are starting to grow, in comparison there were only a few NAs and a few XR8s. Whats happened, have turbo sales dropped or is just me????Anyone after one in QLD should head to either Denmac Ford at Darra or Q Ford Springwood....

I reckon I see more XR8's around Geelong than I do turbos, it seems that a lot of people are moving on from the turbo and into the XR8.

What everyone on the forum is saying is true - it really is worth the wait.I do think that most of the sales people are stating 4-5 weeks to avoid losing your business to another dealer. If this is true, they should be getting a good arse kicking.The wait is murder, made worse by constant advices of the delay in the delivery date.The only advice I can give was the advice given to me - sit tight, keep in contact with the sales person, and you will be rewarded with a beautiful motor vehicle which hopefully will not suffer from the known issues plastered over this forum.

I ordered my '04 T with premium sound on a Tue and picked it up 3 days later on the Sat !! Are people ordering them with things like the new luxury pack, premium brakes, adjustable pedals etc etc in combinations that mean that they aren't in stock so have to wait for them to be especially built ??

If you spec up a car they can't find and it has to be built from scratch it can take a while...
mattson Award Winning Photo guy Legacy Donating Member 1,340 Member For: 22y 8m 19d Gender: Male Location: Burleigh Waters Posted 07/05/04 04:24 AM Posted 07/05/04 04:24 AM what Genebaby said I could have got a blueprint T the next day if I wanted it with standard everything and blueprint interior (which I didn't)and I was exteremelly lucky with the fact the dealership happened to have another T on thier way for thier next demonstrator, I was able to talk them down on the leather trim and throw in the sports steering wheel and mat's/headlight covers and I got a 25% discount on the roof spoiler, scuff plates and bonnet protector which I later took back for a refund (as I thought it looked ghastly) all in all it took just over 14 days from the Friday I payed the deposit to the Friday afternoon I drove it away.12 weeks would just be murder... 1 test drive and I was hooked... :(
