I can't believe in this day and age that people are getting worked up over nothing! And I think that I am in the wrong forum after all. I thought that this forum let you express what you actually think (see James Hird.) I'm sorry but just because I only joined the other month does not make me a newbie!! This whole thing has gotten way too much attention for what it's worth and you should really get a f*cking life if you are taking it that seriously. I defy anyone to charge me for a driving offence for something that I haven't done no matter how much I talk about it or anyone else for that matter! This WAS a lighthearted post about how Geea is bored with nobody being able to keep up with him, and I was replying to him. I joined this forum to talk sh*t, NOT to suck up someone's ass that has been in this forum 2 years longer than me. I don't really give a sh*t if people disagree because I have 2 brand new XR's sitting in the driveway and I don't need to hear from wankers that think I should "show respect" to a moderator. I somehow think that ther federal police have better things to do than surf forums looking for posts that involve illegal drag races. ..

Only some of us seem to be taking it THAT seriously. Read back over the thread. Can you see where it was heading? Sounded very much to the rest of us like you were organising to meet at a specific time and at a specific place to race another car. Maybe it was all just a gee up, but the moderators, any one of them, whether new or old, have to be just that extra bit careful. What is so bad about that? Why the song and dance? No one was saying you can't express yourself. The site moderators, and quite a few of the rest of us it seems, read your post as organising a street race, something that the site doesn't support. That's all.

If you do seriously want to organise something like that, keep it to PMs. Its for your own benefit, surely - what if the cops are really reading this, or even just busy bodies who are more than happy to organise a police escort to greet you at the finishing line?

On a more serious note. I think everyone is taking things a little too seriously. I support the moderators and think they do a great job of keeping this place together. Tockley, take a chill pill mate, this thread began with a light hearted intent, and Dallas mearly gave you a friendly and polite warning.

We live in an increasingly litigious society and unfortunately it has come to a point where almost everything in life needs a legal disclaimer on it. However, this is the case and the moderators must protect the integrity of the forum for the greater good.

If you choose to stay then I'm sure you will enjoy your time spent on the forum and learn a lot about your car, however if you don't like the company of us "wankers" then I'm sure you won't be missed if you don't come back.

Who the hell are all of these little voices piping up out of nowhere? You are like Jackal's taking little bites out of a carcass. This was only meant to be a LIGHTHEARTED bit of fun, that I was having with Geea. No matter how many time's I'm told that it LOOKED like I was organising an illegal street drag, can someone show me the quote where either myself or Geea said that we will meet on this particular night at this particular intersection, and we will find out who has a quicker car?? Come on people, get real! Drag racing does not really interest anybody in the law until the action is done, OR if there is a known area that is being hit repeatedly (eg. Dandenong Drags) and you are kidding yourself if you think that people in law enforcement are "scouring" the internet forums looking out for possible drag meetings. And besides, the people that have been making the most noise about this live in QLD and NSW?? Geea and I mentioned suburbs cos we live near each other - that's all! (By the way, Geea you've dropped off the face of the earth since all of this sh*t started.) I genuinely appologise to the Moderator (and his loyal minions ready to stand up against evil for him) if I have stepped out of place, but I didn't honestly think that I was trying to organise any illegal activity. It was more like 2 blokes talking at a bar, about how their car is quicker than the other, and everyone else jumped in with their bit...
