hey guys im fitting an barra engine in my ED and was wondering if you can run a cable T/B on the barra engine? deleting the drive by wire pedal is so there is one less thing to modify and possibly go wrong. thanks

YAY I got it running. had a mate with a decent scan tool come out and re program the keys to the bem. heard nothing from ford coming out to do it after they said they would.

I found out that leaving the ignition on for an hour with 13v or above ( put car on battery charger ) will reset pcm and it will do a self reset so guess what im doing after I get home today??

Well surprise surprise the ford tech didn't show and when I rang the service manager he said I was booked in to drop the car in there. So why did I have to give them the address where the car was? How can I Hotwire this thing to test run it???

I reset all the codes (which there was alot of) but it still wouldn't start so I rescanned and the BEM said wrong transponder key tried to start the car. Spoke to ford and they said yeah if it sits too long without power the car forgets the keys and remotes. It needs to be reflashed. $110 and they are coming out to do it tomorrow. Fingers crossed it works. I'm putting the motor and box plus factory turbo in my ED

the icc hasnt been changed out, the guy said he turned the car off after it hit the pole it got towed away and he never tried starting it since then. im trying to make sure it all works before I pull it out and fit it into my ED

hey guys I hust got myself a written off 5 speed ba xr6 for a donor vehicle. its been sitting with a flat battery for a good 8 months, I put a new battery in but no luck. my radio is showing CODE with ign on ( as soon as you turn ign on it should talk to bcm and power up ) there is no crank, a few of the dash lights drop out as normal on crank but the little hand with the key and the red (!) flash up, im guessing dead bcm but im just guessing. I have a snap-on ETHOS scan tool but its pretty much useless for anything bigger than resetting seatbelt and airbag codes. any help would be great. I want to have a quick drive to make sure sure everything works ok

which shop did that and what town I have been fitting for 10 years, self taught and I have never ever wanted to play in fibreglass but its soooo sexy you would be amazed what I can do with a flat piece of mdf but nothing like that. it makes me think I should give up and go make burgers at maccas

well its back in my garage BROKEN ill wait till they have my diff in stock then tow it back in. my tranny cooler and nizpro flex plate went in while it was off the road too ( with help from a couple of flat bed trucks ) com' on end of month

hey dags when I fisrt fashed my ute with the standard pump I got fuel surge by the top of second gear with anything under 150ks till empty. that's why I fitted external and swirl pot. I hope you dont have the same issues

well ford have given me another diff, wich is very nice of them to turn a blind eye to the fact it is modded. BUT dana cannot supply me a diff, so like the last time ford had my car it will be a MONTH before I get one. im towing it home today and then towing it back when the diff turns up cos I hate it sitting where I cant bodyguard it. yay I suppose. this really tested my patience with the ute I was so close to trading it in on a focus. I thought if the diffs cant handle 285 how the hell is it gfoing to hang on to 330+ when I fit my plazmaman and exhaust ( wich is still sitting in my spare room )

yeah the t/c is almost always on it turns out I have stripped the guts out of the female spline in the diff centre. the car has zero tramp but it is really low with hard shocks and the road was a little bumpy doh ford have filed my case for another complete unit so now its up to fpv and dana if not ill ring you soon mal

1st of all its a ute so it aint a cv and mall woods new irs centre aint gonna fit I jacked it up and found its the right axle that is snapped. now here is where it gets interesting. 400ks ago the diff tube broke out of the centre housing ( the full story is in another post ) after it sat at ford for a month the supposidly fitted a complete unit, disc to disc. BULLSH!T they did. I pulled the wheel off to find a rusty centre hub and rusty wheel studs. they have put my old centre and axles into a new housing, so the right axle that was taking all the flexing of the broken diff housing is now back in my car but it has finally given up the ghost. gotta love it. ford new my car was edited and injectors but realised the diff housing was a manufacturing fault, now its an axle they will be able to blame that on too much power AKA no warranty

last night I gave it a boot off some lights and as soon as it came on boost in first BANG CRUNCH GRAUNCH. no more forward momentum. tail shaft turns but tyres dont. nothing worse than giving Expensive Daewoo drivers something to laugh at on the side of a busy road.
