I do have a 3 year warranty on the paint job for my front bar (genuine) I think I will push to take it back but feel bad since they are nice people. I think it is do with painting over an already painted surface.. as I looked at the fog light surrounds they painted for me.. the bare plastic bits are fine, but all my green bits that have been painted over already painted bits, flake off with the slightest bump of a stone.

hrm.. yeh I always question some paintjobs on things done for cars.. I did specifically tell them to sand off the old paint and was told they sanded it down best they could.. but if its a true fact that when painting over paint already, would make the top layer weak and flakey then I will be asking them to do it again and properly. just want to get my facts correct before calling them up.

Hi guys. I had a genuine fpv bumper which was in new condition painted in a different colour. Took it to a panel beaters I'm familiar with and I told them to sand it down good so I still get the nice definition in the edges. I've only had the bumper bar for maybe 4 months at least and the the amount of stone chip damages it has now compaired to my stock bumper bar is insane .. Had my stock bar on for 2 years, it only recieved about 5 stone chips to the plastic. but my freshly painted fpv bar has atleast 15 chips on it as the paint seems to flake off Extremely easily and I see the previous colour behind it.. Is this a common thing or did my panel beaters cut corners and not prep and paint enough layers on.. Very dissappointed with this to be honest.. :(

I asked a few people but didnt really get a proper response.. I have a 45 silicon bend off the turbo and a 45 3" pipe going into the airbox where the battery use to be.. it was rubbin against the power steering pipes which I ddidnt think would be that much of a probelm.. until I had my service and was recommended that I get my power steering pipes fixed which will cost $500ish O_o I know people do the 90 degree bend upwards but what have people done with the dose pipe going sideways into an airbox , which doesnt effect the power steering pipes.. and is there a solution to fixing the p/steerin from its mild leaking because of this ? thanks

would there be somethign else that's causin it.. I'm not sure why both remotes would be both encountering the same problems from the same time.. ? surely this has happened to someone else here and they've had it actually fixed but thanks Sixappeal I dont think it has to do with sticky locks.. the signals dont even register with the car even when I push the buttons

Hey guys, Im about to take my car back for the third time in regards to this issue and to get other things sorted.. Was hoping someone could identify the source of the problem for this. my cars only done 30,000km. ever since after a few months of purchasing the car, Both remotes are stubborn... I have to push the button several times (ATLEAST 10 + timeS) even when really close up to the car on a bad day.. until the car will lock / unlock.. I have had ford service look at this twice, both times they came up with nothing but reset both my keys .. I dont think my turbo timer effected it as I got this done after it stuffed up.. Thanks.

I didnt realize the dose pipes rub up against the power steering hoses and ruption it so easily :( is this a common thing for people? and how come not many people use that engine oil filter/breather than sticking the long hose from the engine to the intake pipe?

A few people have p.m'd me in wanting to help me out, thanks heaps guys! but yeh, I take my car to courtney and patterson in hiedelberg.. as I was told they look after cars that have been modified and are fine with doing things under warranty to a certain extent. but being that I just bolted on the mods not long ago and my car looks fairly beafed up even though it isnt yet.. I just got denied :/ had 2 other minor problems they knocked back to which were a bit ridiculous but will get into that later on another thread :|

Hi there. I had my 30,000 service just today. and they found that my Rear Diff Bush is splitting. I guess its why I always hear a creaking noise when going up on driveways.. but they refused to touch it because I've bolted on my intercooler and changed my cold air intake no tune as yet.. but even though they said this is common but due to these mods, extra torque and sht like that .. can't warrant the diff. :( would this problem actually be caused by my bolt on mods.. and would I face damaging something if I just leave it? .. I've never heard of people needing to replace their diffs once they mod their cars.

a ridiculous amount of under cover SS' on the road yday and @ night.. 1 Expensive Daewoo tried playin me on springy road.. I didnt react back since I got done earlier in the day @_@ ... SS creaps up out of no where.. and blue lights come on .. gg actually had quite a few funny stories 2nite.. drivin 2 the city on eastern freeway, all of the sudden me and my mates could smell weed.. like WTF.. realized the A/c was from outside.. looked at teh car infront.. FG xr6T.. smokey as inside LOL.. whilst at the lights in the city, stupid dum old B!atch walks past and says to her friend.."that's the most disgusting type of car on the road" >:(
