  1. Is the diff centre the same between a sedan and ute, both M86? I'm assuming the centres are the same, it's just a different housing for the live axle vs IRS. Could I take the LSD centre out of an xr6 Turbo ute and put it into a G6E Turbo open centre diff?
  2. Thanks. Yeah I wouldn't hammer it before it got to the tuner.
  3. With the mods I listed how much power could it make? I suppose valve springs might come into play possibly as well. I think I might just fit the fuel pump anyway. I might upgrade the turbo and push it up aound 380 rwkw some day so this pump should be able to handle that. Will it be ok to drive with the 255 pump without a tune? I'm assuming the stock fuel reg will be able to keep fuel pressure to where it needs to be, and the afr's will be fine? At least to be able to drive the car to the tuner.
  4. So coming back to this now. Car now has process west stage 1 intercooler, turbo side intake and x-force 3.5 inch cat back. Wanting to fit injectors, cat pipe and tune. The melbourne tuner I have spoken to says it won’t need a fuel pump upgrade. But surely this is enough to push 300? I was thinking of fitting a walbro 255 like this one myself, prior to the tune, for insurance. Will I be able to fit the pump and drive it for a few days on the stock tune? And is this a good unit to fit? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WALBRO-GSS341-255LPH-FUEL-PUMP-ASSEMBLY-FALCON-FG-FGX-XR6-TURBO-XR8-F6-TYPHOON/282621506840?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20191002094254%26meid%3D234c25a87b1043d48a9cb3f840e299a6%26pid%3D100889%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D292263521702%26itm%3D282621506840%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DDefaultOrganic%26brand%3DWalbro&_trksid=p2332490.c100889.m5204
  5. Ended up getting the antz performance piping kit. Debating wether to also purchase the metal intake elbow. Does it need to be replaced? ie. can it split or blow out like the plastic pipes can? Really not sure wether I should keep the stock factory elbow or purchase the metal aftermarket ones.
  6. Yeah would do valve springs and head studs with a bigger turbo. Stock FG turbo just pull the string and see what happens. Some stock springs do better than others.
  7. If that's the case, needing mods to the turbo, I might as well just go to a BA/F, FG F6 turbo if the turbo has to come out. That can be a stage 2 job. What's the BA/F turbo good for on 98?
  8. So far I have process west stage 1 intercooler core, antz performance pipe kit, xr6 turbo developments 4 inch turbo side intake and battery relocation kit. Next up will be venom cat pipe, injectors and a tune. What else will I need to max the factory turbo? Thinking fuel pump probably. Anything else I'm missing that I might require?
  9. They still have kits on the intune website. Price is good. Are all the pipe kits 2.5 inch?
  10. Getting a process west stage 1 core and will need a pipe kit for it. What do people recommend? Should I buy a kit from process west, or save a couple of hundred and buy one from someone like antz?
  11. What is the next step up from stock. A Walbro 460? I've heard it needs a wiring upgrade and a new fuel reg? Mine will never see more than maybe 380rwkw on 98. Will a 460 handle that?
  12. How much power can the factory FG fuel pump handle, before it will need to be replaced with a bigger pump?
  13. Looking at the xr6 turbo developments turbo side intake. They sell a 4 inch and a 3 inch version. I take it the 3 inch is for the factory turbo, and the 4 inch is for a bigger aftermarket turbo? Is that correct?
  14. Not worth it considering the fine is $10,000. Just to save a couple hundred bucks. Sure the odds of getting pinged are minimal, but is it worth the risk?
  15. Cheers. So the standard dump would still be fine even if I wanted to go a bit bigger in turbo size?
  16. Looking to do some upgrades to my G6E Turbo. First stage will be cat, injectors and tune. Second stage will be intercooler. Looking to get the max out of the stock FG turbo, but might upgrade to a bigger turbo further down the track and push up towards 380 rwkw. Maybe. Might be happy with around 320 rwkw with the stock turbo though. But when buying parts I'd like to buy stuff that could work with a bigger turbo if I go down that path. Looking at these 2 cats. I'd assume the first one comes with the dump pipe off the back of the turbo and the 2nd one doesn't? And for the power levels I'm looking at is the dump pipe needed? Or will the second one do the job? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VENOM-FG-FGX-TURBO-4-DUMP-PIPE-CAT-Ford-FG-XR6-Turbo-F6-Ford-FPV-Exhaust/262162954198?epid=27026720081&hash=item3d0a2137d6:g:FzIAAOSwa81XSqXe https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Venom-Ford-FG-FGX-XR6-Turbo-F6-High-Flow-Cat-Pipe-Catalytic-Converter-Exhaust/261549503557?hash=item3ce590b445:g:Nu8AAOSwfC9XPVw-
  17. Superlows are just standard XR height. It won't lower it at all. You need SSL's.
  18. If you want the ultimate in riide/handling the shockworks coilovers can't be beaten. But cost a fair bit. About $2500.
  19. Here's my FG G6ET 50th Anniversary. King SSL fronts, SSSL rears.
  20. Yeah I know what they are saying. The nut on the bolt can't be unthreaded enough to get another shim in there.
  21. I have Kings SSL in the front. They did say they just couldn't quite get enough adjustment so 1 or 2 sounds about right. Wouldn't need much.
  22. Well I got the wheel alignment done, but they couldn't get enough adjustment and have recommeneded getting a camber kit for it. Something like 1.5 degrees on one side and 2.0 on the other? He said it will probably pull a little to the left, which it does. Nothing dramatic but a very slight drift to the left. What are my options here. I have seen one kit on ebay for $50 each, and another for $115 each. Then there is the K mac kit which is expensive at $350. From what I can see it's just a new bracket and some shims. Might be a bit wary of the $50 one. No idea what the quality would be like on that. I wasn't expecting it to need one as I reckon it has only come down 1 inch on the front. Although I haven't done an after measurement yet cause I want to let it settle some more.
  23. Putting some king springs in my FG, SSL fronts and SSSL rears. Will it need a wheel alignment after they are swapped out? And if it does is it best to let the springs settle first before it's done? A 4 wheel alignment was done a month ago when I got new tyres.
