  1. Is the diff centre the same between a sedan and ute, both M86? I'm assuming the centres are the same, it's just a different housing for the live axle vs IRS. Could I take the LSD centre out of an xr6 Turbo ute and put it into a G6E Turbo open centre diff?
  2. Thanks. Yeah I wouldn't hammer it before it got to the tuner.
  3. With the mods I listed how much power could it make? I suppose valve springs might come into play possibly as well. I think I might just fit the fuel pump anyway. I might upgrade the turbo and push it up aound 380 rwkw some day so this pump should be able to handle that. Will it be ok to drive with the 255 pump without a tune? I'm assuming the stock fuel reg will be able to keep fuel pressure to where it needs to be, and the afr's will be fine? At least to be able to drive the car to the tuner.
  4. So coming back to this now. Car now has process west stage 1 intercooler, turbo side intake and x-force 3.5 inch cat back. Wanting to fit injectors, cat pipe and tune. The melbourne tuner I have spoken to says it won’t need a fuel pump upgrade. But surely this is enough to push 300? I was thinking of fitting a walbro 255 like this one myself, prior to the tune, for insurance. Will I be able to fit the pump and drive it for a few days on the stock tune? And is this a good unit to fit? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WALBRO-GSS341-255LPH-FUEL-PUMP-ASSEMBLY-FALCON-FG-FGX-XR6-TURBO-XR8-F6-TYPHOON/282621506840?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20191002094254%26meid%3D234c25a87b1043d48a9cb3f840e299a6%26pid%3D100889%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D292263521702%26itm%3D282621506840%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DDefaultOrganic%26brand%3DWalbro&_trksid=p2332490.c100889.m5204
  5. Ended up getting the antz performance piping kit. Debating wether to also purchase the metal intake elbow. Does it need to be replaced? ie. can it split or blow out like the plastic pipes can? Really not sure wether I should keep the stock factory elbow or purchase the metal aftermarket ones.
  6. Yeah would do valve springs and head studs with a bigger turbo. Stock FG turbo just pull the string and see what happens. Some stock springs do better than others.
  7. If that's the case, needing mods to the turbo, I might as well just go to a BA/F, FG F6 turbo if the turbo has to come out. That can be a stage 2 job. What's the BA/F turbo good for on 98?
  8. So far I have process west stage 1 intercooler core, antz performance pipe kit, xr6 turbo developments 4 inch turbo side intake and battery relocation kit. Next up will be venom cat pipe, injectors and a tune. What else will I need to max the factory turbo? Thinking fuel pump probably. Anything else I'm missing that I might require?
  9. They still have kits on the intune website. Price is good. Are all the pipe kits 2.5 inch?
  10. Getting a process west stage 1 core and will need a pipe kit for it. What do people recommend? Should I buy a kit from process west, or save a couple of hundred and buy one from someone like antz?
  11. What is the next step up from stock. A Walbro 460? I've heard it needs a wiring upgrade and a new fuel reg? Mine will never see more than maybe 380rwkw on 98. Will a 460 handle that?
  12. How much power can the factory FG fuel pump handle, before it will need to be replaced with a bigger pump?
  13. Looking at the xr6 turbo developments turbo side intake. They sell a 4 inch and a 3 inch version. I take it the 3 inch is for the factory turbo, and the 4 inch is for a bigger aftermarket turbo? Is that correct?
  14. Not worth it considering the fine is $10,000. Just to save a couple hundred bucks. Sure the odds of getting pinged are minimal, but is it worth the risk?
