Hi All, Spoken to Paul who was very helpful, but regretfully doesnt have the tool yet for the valve springs. Anyone had similar work done at Powertorque? And does Steve @ RDP still tune CAPA units too or just their inhouse flasher unit? thanks very much. michael

yeh ok ive dropped him an email this morning. I hear hes a little expensive with the capa as hes still learning and will take more labour time. Paul sounds good though. thanks - I'll ring him. mick

Hi All What should I be expecting? I think $300 Labour on Springs? + Purchase price. And a custom tune? $400-$500? I got a CAPA flash from INTUNE in sydney sent up and want a custom tune. I heard of some places after $750 for a custom tune? Looking to do asap. Any help on prices would be greatly appreciated. Before I try get it done so I know im not getting ripped. cheers mick

lol bloody awesome. is yours a manny or auto. I was doing 14.3 @ 99mph with mine stock as a rock. I just cant seem to get auto out of the line. now with 8psi its spinning, so I'll go back and im aiming for 13.5 :D

Ran a 13.75 @ 103 mph last night on a bog stock except for out of box edit on standard 8psi tune) last night. 2004 Auto Sedan XR6Turbo 2.1 60 footers suck wang.

lol I want a flash this week in brisbane? how often does dyno wog come up? I dont think I will get sorted in that short time at any tuning house... I might just get the direct unit and then a custom tune later... My xr6t Auto is just stock as a rock any thoughts??? Im a big ex Mercury customer, but I dont think they can capa flash just yet...

u sure that your flash tune hasnt be overwritten by ford or anything and you have the stock tune again??? reflash it and take it somewhere else like RDP??? mick

Hi All, I know this ahas been discussed a millllion times. Im after throwing in a 2nd CAI from the Phoon or XR8 (same thing isnt it) into my BA XR6T. I'm after the p/ns for the bottom half of the box and the second intake that goes into it? I know ive read it in a thread, but the search function is kind of hard to get a result as it wont do 3 letter word (CAI) also, where to grab a K&N or similar filter? I presume repco or autobarn have that crap? cheers Michael Cars stock as a rock atm, so want to do that and new CAT, then its getting flashed quicksmart. :D

Hi All, I Have an 04 XR6Turbo 4 speed auto BOG STOCK. I'll try explain my problem step by step... I took the car to the drags , done a burnout in 1st gear only, and stalled up to 2000rpm in 1st gear with TC off and in the manual performance mode. 1st gear accelerate, goes towards redline and I change gear at 5500rpm 2nd gear flat accelerating still and before I get chance to, it changes gear on its own at around 4000rpm. 3rd gear flat accelerating I cross the finish line at about 5000rpm or something. So my Question is, Why is the auto changing gear on its own when I have it in performance mode. I havent noticed the problem on the street, when in manual mode I put in 2nd and hit it , it stays all the way to redline making me change. But I obv dont do any standing starts like that on the street. Anyone experienced? Something I should look at with Ford? I am planning on getting an edit where we can ammend shift points etc, but would rather it all fixed before that. Thanks for the help Michael

I know Mercury Motorsport are very intrested in getting involved with the Flash for the xr6T. hopefully that develops into something soon. :D but yeh all I got is a qquote form fist for $1695 atm and I wont go anywhere near that

Ok How much are people after for tunes on the capa flash box? FIST quoted me supplied and custom tuned. $1695 $700 for tuning time. that's a fair few hours on the dyno... When in reality from the base maps its only going to spend an hour on there with a stock xr6t. Michael

ok thanks for the reply jimmy, but I presume same the flash tuner is capapble of those functions though? I'll have a hunt for a s/h unit. I have only seen one on ebay for $750. $500-600 would be much better. michael
