  3. Thanks for the advice... Would this option cost extra and would a special order have to be made to get them? My SL springs have gone a bit soft and sagged a bit... Especially the front.. So I am looking to replace them..
  4. Are you looking at a sealed enclosure or ported ??? Stuffing a sealed box with dacron will fool the sub into thinking that it is box that is 10% larger.. Have you run the sub specs through bassbox?

  6. I can understand where you are coming from.. However.... An alarm and immobiliser is only as good as the installation..... It would only end up like the governments insulation scheme... With a load of shonky workmanship done by back yard try hards...

  8. I purchased a new Motorcraft filter from Fraud the other day.. $31 and the f*cker leaked.. No matter how many times I fitted it, there was a leak coming from the connection through the thread... All of this on a Saterday morning.. 50 Km's to the dealership from home... Then had to go through a log drawn out claim process that took a week.... They even wanted my Km reading from my car.... fro a replacement filter.... Go figure..... WANKERS !!!!!!!

Wheels Brakes Dual Zone climate (Luxury pack has it on XR6Ts') Front/Rear bars Skirts Gear knob Badges Build No. Bigger rods? Cold air intake is different 2 Psi more boost Bf had two o2 sensors the rest is BRAGGING rights....

  14. Hi all, I am starting to plan my new motor and have have two set of rods that I am considering. One is a "H beam" and one is an "I Beam". Besides looks, what is the difference between the two rods? Would the "I beam" be heaviver due to it's construction ad therefore stronger? Is there any Advanatge/Disadvantages to running a lighter/Heavier rods? I am also weighing up my piston options... I am trying to weigh up the pro's and cons of forged pistons.. As I understand it. Forged pistons require the enigine to be idled up to normal engine operating temperatures and failing to do so will result in damage to the bores. My car is my every day driver and unfortunately I do not always have that luxury. So I am considering just changing my rods in my spare engine to maintain it's drivability and besdides I really can't see myself upgrading the exhaust manifold or turbo until it dioes... Any thoughts on the matter??? Your advice would be greatly apprecuated.. Brad

    I have never heard of those clutch's. Not that it means anything... have a Mal Wood option 3 and I'm loving it.. Threw the car on the dyno today. To see what the AFR's were like... It is running far too rich.. We backed it off as far as we could with the Xcal 3. Boosted started at 10 Psi and tapered back to 8 which is where it made the 271 Rwkw.... LOL... It has a lot of room for improvement tune wise and I really can't wait... The rear housing that I ported myself looked very stable... I may mod my original housing and sell it...

  18. If it turns ot to be a lifter and you want to do a set of cams. I have a set of Atomic cams that I might look at selling...
  19. I already have my Koneski gears sitting here. I keep seeing in posts that the pump is modified.. What is done exactly and how much does the pump and mods cost?
  20. Other ways to gain 3db is to add another woofer running that same power. Or what they called loading.. eg -: palcing the woofer towards a hard surface.. Eg facing you home speaker so that they are facing the wall with about 4 inch's between the two... If you load it straight into a right angel corner with the same spacng you will gin 6db.... Just a few tricks that we used to use in Db comps...
  21. It sounds to me like the actual engine has no earth lead to it... Check it bud.... I remeber something about another earth lead being required...
  22. I am sorry buddy, but I am having trouble trying to understand what it is you are asking... Are you talking about the piping for you Plumb back blow off valve... It should run back to your Nizpro intake.. The 'T' piece ?? Is where I am running my boost gauge off.... I don't know if that is what you were asking exactly.. But I hope that it helps you in some way..
  23. Thanks for all of the posts guys.. Now my mind is at ease. Hello Anchor... Yes. I left my car in Blair's capable hands for a few weeks. I hit a heap of water and ended up going offroad.. Bent the control arm and broke a rim.. I have been friends with Scotty for a few year now and his abilities have improved greatly. He loaded thetune that I currently run. It is a "generic" to get the car running so that I can still get towork. It was going on the dyno on Saterday. But he ran out of time.. So, th wait continues.. I think that Zane will be doing the tune. I think that Scotty is abit more familiar with the Holdens rather than the Fords.. It will be interesting to see what the cme up with... If it goes pear shaped, I have a spare engine sitting here anyway...
  24. From what I have heard, he tends to keeptem a bit rich. As he has destroyed a few motors in the past (Pre Nizpro Seminar). Does tuning them rich galze the bores or cause any damage to the motor? I just want to understand the process more. I wnat to be able to tell the differnce betweena good tune and a bad tune. Before I leave the shop.. When I boot it, and I will. I want to be confident that the tune will not hand grenade the motor.. I have been driving the car for the past week with all of the mods on.. Babying it. And I just simply cannot afford to go to Mackay an get Dave to tune it.. I will later as more funds become available..
