Far out ... you've done absolutely nothing wrong bloke! Demand an oil consumption & compression test be done to resolve the issue prior to any mods. If the Dealer is unhelpful call 1300FORD and inform them of the issue ... you must get this issue resolved BEFORE you do any mods otherwise you void you warantee! Good luck

Sorry to hear the PCM still didnt allow u to launch with your desired boost ... mines never done that since David has tuned it! Sometimes I wonder if the OEM PCM has a mind of its own ... be interesting to see what David (blueboost) has to say about that issue. Is the Kewish ZF still shifting nicely with out any issues? How many kms have you done since the rebuild now? Cheers Justin

Yes ...you should not be having any issues achieving boost whilst stalled for launch! Trans slip with the torque management turned off is a consequence of 900-1000+NM engines in front of 450NM factory rated BA Borg Warner 4 speeds & 650NM factory rated BF ZF 6 speeds! If you want to turn the torque management off within the PCM and go drag racing with slick tyres best visit Kewish first to strengthen and quicken the clutch engagement of either auto trans. I still think you'll go faster with PCM torque management enabled because full throttle ZF 1-2 upshifts are traction testing enough with the timing pulled out! You'll need a very grippy track surface and slicks to suppress wheelspin with torque management turned off. Good luck with it all Cheers

Correct ... David's left the PCM torque management thus enabled on my ZF trans for trans preservation but you should still be able to stall with any boost you desire for launch and I'm sure he would have informed Jim of such! Having the PCM wind 4-6 degrees timing out during the 1-2 shift is benifical anyway otherwise you just get wheelspin city and dont hook up!

I think Jim @ Tunehouse still must not have the PCM settings right because with Davids (Blueboost) tuning I can stall to any boost I wish in my BF Typhoon. The ZF's shifts remain unaltered and if anything a little FIRMER in performance/manual mode. Something is wrong and you certainly dont require a Kewish rebuilt box to make Davids setting work! I can stall to almost 9-10psi before it overpowers the back brakes and hello wheelspin city! I've fitted Bridgestone semi slick RE-O1R rear tyres and stalling to 4-5psi makes for awesome launches ... keeps just about anything road registered honest during traffic light drags lol Maybe Jim should phone David again and source the identical PCM changes to mine for I've had no drama during the last 4 mths with the ZF running behind a Nizpro stage II + pack @ 380rwkw. FYI The 8mm wider offsett was only for increased track on the sedans to improve handling - nothing to do with brake clearance or any other story! Cheers

FYI FPV sedans hav the same rim offset front & rear ONLY from BF Mk2 onwards not BA Mk2 FPV utes have always had the same offset front to rear and only the sedans were equiped with the 8mm wider offset rear rims!!!!! Never believe what a Ford salesman tells you

Dont know about your analogy of many hands make light work but two smaller turbos will = 2 turbos with lighter internals = 2 turbos with less inertia = 2 turbos with less lag = 2 turbos with more boost at low rpm = superior torque and throttle responce below 3000 rpm. Time too start designing your tuned length manifolds and select turbos to best suit your application

Maybe chat to Nizpro for they seem to be doing allot of development work with quad turbo engines at present in ski boat applications as shown in the cut and paste post from their website below. Dont stress bloke, Its a great project but the outcome will unfortunatley be your budget! You will be pioneering n pioneering is never cheap! To get the best possible result and not a backyard nightmare you'll require expensive expert advise, expensive high quality workmanship well designed tuned lenght manifolds and associated mandrel bent plumbing, expensive new correct sized turbo's and lots of expensive dyno tuning and R&D time to get the setup optimized. So doing it properly wont be cheap and the end result will determined by your budget I say go for it despite the cost ...

Hi Silhoutte6T, Get Simon @ Extreme to source and fit a Nizpro laminated flex plate then loctite your flex plate bolts and do em up to 75 ftlbs of torque. No more dramas

Hi Bloke ... You need a new upgraded turbo wastegate actuator as the stock one is struggling to control your wastegate under full boost periods by the sound of it. Get a new actuator with a custom tune and all will be resolved Cheers

Hi Allan, Can you or anybody tell me if a ZF 6 speed auto from a BF Tornado will communicate happily when installed into a BF ZF 6 speed Typhoon? Im assuming there should be no problem between the PCM and TCM communicating since they are so similar in spec but am I assuming wrong? All knowledgeable info appreciated Cheers
