The GT I had the absolute grace and pleasure of driving for the week had a Sport's steering wheel and compared the standard one I can say it is awesome, it has great grips for your hands and makes turning the wheel so easy! I have attached a picture for your reference. Paul

I have seen the pictures of the seats on the Ford website, but are one of you guys about to take a couple of photos? We have normal leather on ours, is it really worth the extra money to get the sports leather seats? Paul

Hey Guys, As of a couple of months ago I had a GT for a week to drive around in (FPV were kind enough to lend me one for an English presentation for one of my final assesments), man this thing was so fun to drive...the engine sounded so brilliant, and I got so many looks...I really want one now lol. Anyway, enough of the praises! I just got a question, when the car starts up there is no traction control light in the bottom right corner of the console. When you push it the light comes on, am I correct in saying when the light comes on traction control is enabled? Because I remember I drove around with the light off and when I gave it a squirt around the corner I could hear a bit of tyre screech then the light coming on. Or have I got the wrong idea, light on means traction control off? Sorry for the stupid question guys...now I envy all you GT and GT-P and Pursuit drivers , I want another fix of GT heh. Paul

Hey Guys, I know somebody who works at Ford and they got me 13 pages of electrical diagrams, descriptions and a whole heap of stuff regarding the Display Interface and how it can be modified, I just need to know if anyone will find this interesting? If so if they can provide the webspace I can scan the pages. Paul

Hey Guys, Our XR has premium sound, and it sounds great on my normal music, when my brother is in the car he likes playing his bass rubbish...but anyway, when he does play it and turns it up a bit, it starts sounding pretty bad, is everyone else experiencing this? Also there is a rattle just above the speaker (Looks like the brake light cover) and that happens too when the bass is up a bit. So what are your impressions on your Premium sound system? I love the LCD but I doubt it was worth the $900 we paid. Paul

We had a similar problem. Sounded like a compressor type sound, it was fixed at the first service, although we don't have a T. Paul

Hey Guys, Our XR6 has the Premium Audio setup and I was just wondering has anyone else had this system installed? If so can they post a few pics? Also I think it is pretty pricy, does anyone know the method they use to install the system? As I wouldn't mind giving it a go my self, also what are the specs on the LCD with the Premium Audio system? Paul

Yeah, in regards to this brake issue ours is the same, it is a Aug03 build and when you put the brakes on it feels like the car doesn't react. What I tried when the car was off was to push the brakes to the floor (really soft), then the second push they were rock solid and barely moved at all, I assume that was because when the car is off the power assistance was off, but I haven't tried that routine with the car running, leading me to my question is the thread poster experiencing that same problem? Thanks for confirming that. Just wondering, why does mine have a IR type thing at the top of the LCD? It is damn loud too, sounds like it is being destroyed, I will tell them to fix it. No surprise there, they really do think we are stupid. Thanks for confirming that, I will tell them to fix it for me...or glue it rather heh. Also another problem I had that I didn't mention was this constant fast paced compressing type noise from the motor, only happens when it is warm and stops when you stand still, they will be fixing that too at the 3000km service. Hey Guys, Ok I have a few questions in regards to the XR, we got ours about 3 weeks ago, awesome car and it has had a few problems but they seem to have been rectified. But I have a couple of other questions. Here they are: 1. We got Premium audio, yet in the manual it pictures the Premium audio with volume in the centre, whereas ours has it on the far right with track selection far left. Does anyone else have this? Or have I been jibbed!? 2. In the centre console (not the drink container), where you put CD's and coins etc when I open it full way it makes a very loud shuddering type sound, but it locks in, should this be silent or do all do this? 3. I took the car to the Ford dealer to have this looked at, and apparently it is normal, just above the fuse box near the driver seat there is a silver plate, should it be loose and rattly when you touch it? 4. Has anyone from here bought the Blaupunkt aftermarket kit? Is it worth the money? If so can someone post some pics as the gallery is dead atm. Apart from those little questions/problems the car is really awesome, I think the door trims are a bit cheap, but I love the leather seats, and I love the presentation of the centre unit, it is really great, Ford has done an awesome job! Also, just out of interest what is the difference between the sports leather seats and the standard leather seats (apart from the $1000). Cheers Paul

Hey Guys, We just took delivery of our XR6 Today and I am just curious, the centre console thing where you put the cds and your change, you can open it until one point, then you can click it into place so it stays. When I click mine into place it make a big shuddering sound, is this normal till it is worn in? Paul P.s the car is awesome!

Hey Guys, Well I thought this would be the right place to put this, it is about the new Expensive Daewoo Crewman advertisment. When he chains it to the ground and accelarates he goes forward, hence the chains face forward, yet the ute extends backwards which I find rather odd, once writing an email to Holden, they said they try to put as much research into the advertisments before they go to air but they missed that bit, lol. Anywho, just thought I would leave that with you guys to ponder over next time you see the stupid advertisment! Paul
