Not anymore. Expensive Daewoo purchased HRT, and they may not be allowed to race unless they find a buyer for the franchise. (the manufacturer is not allowed to own a v8 supercar franchise) so although HRT will be at the grand prix (its not a v8 supercar round) they may not be at the first round - the clipsal 500.

I think its a standard ford thing. My ED has no colour on the underside on the bonnet. (just undercoat with a bit of overspray on it)

Depends how many options you asked for. I was at Broadmeadows on friday doing a tour of the production line, and they were saying they finish between 400 and 550 cars a day.

I put the boost guage for the Z on top of the steering wheel. I will post a pic laters...

It was a good day. I almost didnt bother cleaning my car, cos I was sure it was going to rain, and it ended up being pretty hot (typical melbourne weather) I will be posting some pics on my site, and the FPV-Ticky club of NSW site either tonight or tomorrow morning.

when you start buying the car gifts before you get it... that's a sign there is something possibly wrong. When you start talking about getting another xr6t to keep yours company... that's a sign there is almost possibly something wrong. when you stop talking about fords, and buy something else..... that's a sign there is DEFINATLY something wrong

Oh - I have to share this one from the other day. I am training one of the newbies, and he is on the phone to a lady who says her modem is broken. She said she already spoke to bigpond and they said the modem is 'stuffed'. The new guy says "so what exactly did Big Poo support say". I looked at him, he didnt realise what he had said... and I pissed myself laughing. The customer had a giggle, then the new guy realised and had to put the customer on hold. He was half crying half laughing. "I didnt mean to do that... I am sorry... it was a mistake" I told him I didnt care, it was funny as... But I couldnt sit with him for the rest of the call cos I kept laughing.

Still not sure exactly what I do... to start off with - I was travelling all over NSW installing puters. Then I was onsite doing sys admin for a food company (people from the tickford club will know which company I was at - cos I always had boxes of goodies with me.. hehehe) then I was at a communications company doing sys admin... then I got transferred to *ick* phone support *ick*, but they compensated for the lack of challenge in the role, buy giving me a nice fat pay rise. not sure where I am going after this...

So far I only know 1 person who is doing some serious mods to the XR6T, and he is dynoing the car after each Mod. (the benefits of owning a workshop with a dyno huh!) He seems to have gone a little quiet lately... I suspect that he is working on cracking the ECU. I told him about these forums, but havent seen him join up yet.

Scary but true.. 1st call I took thismorning.. A lady - she is crying her eyes out. Sobbing hysterically.. her computer doesnt work. I finally calm her down, and find out that her old computer was faulty, and after a few problems, it was replaced under warranty (she got a better computer than what she had). She just got the new computer, turned it on, and nothing!! no display on the screen at all. I asked her to check the serial number for me.. and while she was around the back of the computer, to plug the monitor into the video card. Voila!! there is a display!! She couldnt thank me enough

Its really easy to find. It runs parrallel to The Great Western Highway. its in an industrial complex - its right at the back. Dont try and go over the big speed hump turn left before you get to it, then go around the back of the last building (left hand side). The speed humps that way are a lot smaller, but still pretty bad. (I was driving a stock VX SS - standard ride height, and scraped badly with it... and my car damaged a cat going over the "little" speed hump)

OUCHIES. Must have been scary. I am actually really impressed at the way the cabin held together.

You guys are all welcome to come to the FPV-Tickford club dyno day - Sunday April 6th at Croydon Autosports. $60 gets you 3 runs on the dyno, dyno print out, a chance to win a trophy, and we are also providing a BBQ. Let me know when this is on, and I will see if I can score a lift down, or borrow someones car (unfortunatly none of my cars can make it over the speed hump in the unigroup drive way)

I have been insured with Shannons for a while now. They are really great to deal with. Its always nice to speak to enthousiasts instead of people who dont know anything about cars, and just do it for a job. I called Shannons up the other day (renewal time) and the guy I spoke to knew who I was, and what type of car I had with just my first name!! We then chatted for about 10 mins about some of the mods I have done, and shows I have been to while we got the premium sorted out. Plus - they are also a lot cheaper than the other companies that will insure me.

Dyno figures are always debatable. Different dyno's, different days, different temperatures, there are a lot of variables. For Example... A mate of mine craig, owns a VX GTS (300kw). He pulls 245rwkw. Another mate Bryan with a VX SS (225kw) with just an exhaust pulls 221rwkw. (so that's only 24 rwkw for cars that are supposed to be 75kw at the fly different) FPV-TC NSW club President's 2001 Mustang Cobra (240 kw) pulls 180 rwkw. (stock as a rock) Yet a Series 3 TE50 (250kw) pulls 210rwkw. (also stock as a rock) (a 30rwkw different for cars that are only 10kw at the fly different) Me - my little baby is very consistant on the dyno. ranging from 179.8rwkw at Croydon, to 179.0 rwkw at Injection Perfection, to 185.0rwkw at HP Hero's.

FYI - HSV is not being sold off. PWC are trying to find a buyer for TWR. HSV was signed over to a different company (not TWR) about 3 years ago.
