  1. Here's a video to give you an idea how my one sounds https://vimeo.com/115040353
  2. They will run but they will only have as much power as the ICC will put out. If you want better sound quality you need to buy a 400 watt 4 channel amp to run the speakers. As mentioned above you will need to fit MDF spacers to fit them, you can buy these quite cheap on eBay or car audio stores.
  3. bizkets when was your last at fault claim? SGIC dont charge an extra premium for license disqualification, it will just be $1200 special excess if it was in the last 2 years. What year is your FG matty?
  4. Do they have a vehicle excess? hence the $1200?
  5. you can hire spring compressors from coates
  6. Highly recommend NRMA mate, I work for them and I wouldn't insure anything anywhere else. We pay out something ridiculous like 90% of claims that come through, very honest and lenient. Stripes I can swear I spoke to you when you were buying your GT, rings a bell about that time of year a bloke called through here in Perth before taking delivery of the car to get some quotes.
  7. Valve springs are the first thing id look at replacing when going more power, I have a 2012 and that's the first thing I did. Just depends what piece of mind you want I guess
  8. Depends on the tuner with wastegate & flapper mod, some will tune it on the stock turbo others won't tune unless it's done. That's what I found calling around before I did my tune anyway.
  9. intake is all stock on mine, I plan on upgrading the turbo and going turbo side in the next 12 months
  10. All done, hands are absolutely f****d from those clamps. Doesn't sound as loud as your car Ralph, the iPhone didn't really pick up on the sound from inside the car. Got someone to stand outside and listen to it on drive by, it's not quiet but not overly loud apparently. Happy with it overall, as long as it's doing no damage I don't see myself going back to the BOV anytime soon
  11. My pliers are useless, I wonder if these could of been any tighter....
  12. Looks like it's ok.....just. Any tips on removing those BOV clamps lol?
  13. Bolts are 8mm according to label, I'll give it a go in a sec
  14. I just played that through my sound system, sounds so sexy
  15. The lazy way without measuring (dropped into Bunnings on the way home from work
  16. Thanks heaps for that, really useful info and you have been great. Matty you have also been a champion Hopefully it goes well and I will upload a video
  17. Sweet, I'm in an auto so hopefully all goes well. Heard so much about it damaging the turbo and limp mode etc on other forums so I was a bit hesitant doing it, if you guys haven't had any issues ill give it a crack! worse case I just blow up the turbo and have to buy a new one
  18. I think I may have it lol, just looking at the pic and trying to piece it together...I told you, I'm actually useless when it comes to the mechanical side of the car, big learning curve for me. I'm heading to bunnings on my way home from work this afternoon and going to give it a shot, but would you mind taking a photo of the vac line with the clamp just to give me an idea on how you've got it set up. Is this going to run at full boost when I remove the BOV and plug the holes?
  19. Thanks for that bud. So did you put the bolt at the tip of the line where it plugs into the BOV? When you say do it properly Matty is that by installing a dose pipe?
  20. The retune is what will sting you I guess
  21. I have done most supporting mods to go that power, I think id just need to do fuel pumps and turbo intake before going more power. How about your ZF, is that rebuilt?
  22. Sounds awesome! Do you recommend the billet wheel upgrade? Something I have been thinking about, it would be less cost going down that path rather then a new turbo right?
  23. Is the vac line just the plug going into the BOV? you're just bolting it into place at the back of the engine bay?
