I got a 03/04 Mk1 and I dont have any brake shudder problem at all

You can have mine for $31k, 65000km on the clock.Its 04, black, sunroof,leather seats, fairmont boost gauge, 19in Black Kaotics, SS Cold induction, Herrod cat back exhaust,premium sound, lowered, koni adjustable shocks, manual. Also comes with the original suspension and 18 inch XR wheels.

I got Koni's in mine and I am happy with them, yellow front and red back. I also got sl front and ssl rear springs. Made a huge difference over the standard shock (60000 kms old), stopped the car from felling like a boat. I am still thinking if I would get the swaybar.

For the sunroof you need to reset it so the arrow buttons will work again. Looks like the battery was disconnected for a while. I had the same problem after I had the battery disconected for a couple of days

Well I have noticed that the car is a touch slower, due to the extra weight of the wheels and yes slightly do to the gearing change. As for speedo calibration I had the forutanate opportunity to check it againts a speed check display on the freeway on the way back from getting the wheels fitted and its dead accurate. I can only presume that is because speedos are set a little out favouring reading a higher speed than you are actually doing. ← The factory speedo most of the times shows more than what speed you are really doing.

I just need that little bit more clearance as just the exhaust tips scrape a little bit at the moment. The 19's will give you more ground clearance than 18's. I can not fix the driveway. If I could I would. My driveway is way to step and the sub box and sometimes full tank of fuel dont help a lot. "I have found some 19 x 9.5 (& 8.5 for front) rims that no one on this forum has (I'm yet to determine why), they look f'ing spectacular, come in both black and silver.... but are $3300 with tyres. I'm dying to get my hands on a set of these, so we'll see how we go." What are those rims if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks for the feedback. I need to get 19's cause the car is too low for my driveway. Otherwise I would have just kept the 18's.

I didnt know many of the members here have kaotics in black. I though everyone has chrome rims. As for the swap I got the factory 18's on the car at the moment. I haven't got those rims yet as they do not have any in stock atm. I have been waiting for a while now. I also found a set of Koya Rogues in black for $2500 in 20 by 8.5 inch with Falken ST115 but havent decided on them yet. They look different to what I have seen around. Also not a big fan of fusion as everyone seems to have those rims.

I have just finished installing my subs and amp. I got the premo sound and I have just hooked up the remote start for the amp from the acc fuse. Does anyone know where you can pick up the remote start for the ICC so the amp doesnt run all the time when the car is running but stereo is off? Thanks Al

Hi I was looking at getting some 19in Zenetti Kaotic's in black. Tempe can do them for 2200 fitted 19x8.5 fronts and 19X9.5 rears 235 fronts and 265 rears in Kumho's What do you guys think of this deal?

BA Mark I Had the leather booth aroud gearstick replaced Fixed gearbox, hard to select 3rd that's about it, car has been good otherwise

Mine made 213rwkw standard computer 4 psi cai and herrod exaust on optimax

I got ss indution, air filter and herrod exhaust on mine and they did not seem to worry about fixing the gearbox on my car.

Well I was happy with the read out for my car, I thought it will get around the 180 mark but it made 213KW.

By the sounds of it I still need to get the sensors only. The wiring harness that's supplied with the gauges is pretty long, about 1.5 meters. Thanks for the feedback, I will have to ask to see how much are the sensors required for it, but I thought 500 was cheap for 2 gauges and the complete pod.

for 500 u get everything including the gauge pod and the wiring harness. The only drawback is that they are electric gauges. I will have a look if the harness for the clock is there as my T came with the premium sound system and already has the footwell lights and the lights for the power window switches.

Hi I just went by the local ford dealer and asked about the boost guage of a fairmont to fit in my xr6t and he told me he has a typhoon set that a customer ordered and never picked it up. He said that I can have the whole lot including the harness for $500. Now the question is that this gauges are electric and not sure if they will plug in anywhere on the existing harness or do I have to get extra sensors fitted? The gauges are oil pressure and boost. Any answer will be appreciated and also do you think $500 is a reasonable price for it.
