  1. Hi Guys Just wondering if any of the forum members have experianced the difference between the two brands of suspension. I Have been looking at The Bilstein B8 series and the Koni Adjustables. with King springs SL on the front and SSL on the rear along with sway bars 27mm front and 22mm rear. I am hoping to get the car handling better and also help get better traction. Main difference advised is the Koni can be adjusted for stiffness whilst the Bilstein has to be sent away for re-valving. Both products are of similar price although I am very confused which is the better product. Any Assistance would be appreciated. Thanks ByeByeRB26
  2. The whole intake piping system is now custom with intercooler and air box and battery swap over, all the factory cross over pipes have been removed. Me 2 will have to try a different exhaust set up, I will put the factory dump back on and start the new 3.5" system off the factory dump instead straight off the turbo hopefully that will solve the problem
  3. the exhaust is off the turbo difilipo 3 1/2" dump with a 1" screamer pipe then a 3 1/2" hi flow cat and twin 2 1/2" from the cat to the back I might have to bolt back on the original dump and then start with an 3 1/2" engine pipe off the origianl ford dumpdump I never thought having no restriction could be an issue on a turbo car I still want to make 350rwkw but just not everyday
  4. Thanks for the input guys, I have changed the actuator twice and still no control over the boost, so im pretty sure its not the actuator. its really bugging me as it is at high risk of blowing an engine if driven consistantly on that boost, besides it does not allow me to have any other edit tunes as the boost cant be altered I modifyed the car in one hit so its hard to pin point what part is causing the problem Any other Suggestions would be appreciated?
  5. Hi Guys, I have encountered a problem, and need help! I have been modifying my car and finally taken it to be tuned Mods Included are, Edit valve springs Bosch 968 injectors 9psi wastgate Bosch 044 fuel pump Intercooler custom plumbing Air box and battery swap 3 1/2" diffilipo dump pipe with 1" screamer pipe going into hi flo cat and twin 2 1/2" exhaust The least boost it is running is 17psi even by bypassing the computer it still cant be controlled it is making over 350RWKW which most ppl would be wrapped about but it is a standard engine and is very dangerous The tuner has ensured me there is nothing wrong with the wastegate and has suggested that the dump pipe is not designed properly and there is no restriction therefore they cant control the boost and has asked me to solve the issue Has anyone else experianced this problem with a difilipo dump pipe or even in general tuning Any advice would be appreciated on how to solve the problem Thanks ByeByeRB26
  6. Hi guys. I have a 04 Ba XR6T and I am planning to modify it in the near future. I will be aiming for 300-330rwkw. The mods I plan on doing to achieve this kind of power is, Intercooler + piping injectors Air intake swap with battery wastegate actuator Edit + tune My question is can this power be achieved with the std exhaust, I keep hearing mixed stories. Some say the std exhaust is a great design and does not need to be changed, some say its crap and its one of the 1st mods ppl make I would prefer to leave it std as I would like to keep my car quiet as possible Also I hear mixed stories about the fuel pump, some say it has enough flow for this kind of power? is this true? any feedback would be appreciated Thanks ByeByeRB26
  7. Thanks for your help Xtreme F6 Much appreciated
  8. Thanks for the reply guys, I have worked on many late and old model engines in my time. I also have friends who are qualified mechanics who can help me if I get stuck. Just want to get an idea in whats involved before I start. Performance workshops in sydney are charging in excess of $1000 for this job, I personaly dont see how 4 hours work is worth that kind of money especially when you can get a set of cobra springs from nizpro for $286 Any one else have any advise on whats involved in the replacement of valve springs, preferably someone who has done it before. Or someone who can lead me to an old post, possibly with instructions and pictures of the process. Thanks
  9. Hi Guys, Im a new member to the site, and have recently purchased my 04 BA XR6T, After parting with my much loved skyline GTR due to being very unpractial for everyday driving. I am immediatly looking at modifying my new ride and looking to produce 330KW @ wheels I am aware of what mods need to take place to acheive this kind of power although my main concern is the replacing of Valve Springs as it was something I never had to do with my previous car. I have tried to find old posts with instructions on how to install Valve Springs, but have been unsuccessful. Can anyone help me in providing instructions on how to? and whats involved in changing the valve springs? Eg Do the cams need to come out? Are there any special tools required? Etc Any help would be much appreciated Thanks ByeByeRB26
