To also answer the question do I intend to modify this one... yes I do. Maybe not as far as my old car but it will certainly come in for a 'little' attention... as much as I would like to leave it alone I just know I won't be able to. So why fight it. LOL Just accept it and move on! Jack

No I don't stuff around, I cannot see the point of spending countless days or weekends shopping around to try and save maybe $500. My personal time is worth more to me than that!!! I thought about that, simply for continuity's sake... but I am more leaning towards HYPOG6. Either way it will have plates on it at some stage! Jack

If anyone is interested I have just bought a 2008 G6E Turbo in black with black leather and factory 19's, not sure when I pick it up, though should be sometime this week... will post pictures when I have the car or you can refer to the 1st post as that has a link to pictures in it already... even though Dag's took 10 minutes to find it! I am going to have to change my username on here... lol.

Without sounding like a Nizpro stooge here but the only plenum on the market that is PROVEN to flow 1000hp which is close to your 800rwhp is the Nizpro plenum. I'm not saying that it is the best one for your application, I honestly would imagine that a custom job fit for EXACTLY your application would be best but outside of that if you aren't interested in doing the R&D involved and only looking for 'an off the shelf item' then I would think that the Nizpro plenum would be your best bet. I would think (actually hope) that all of the plenum's on the market are derived specifically for a street or actual use application. This is a scenario that you aren't after as it is a drag car first and foremost. So low down response, fuel economy etc wouldn't come in to it... Jack

Try Blackman & Son's. They are in Moorabbin. They do factory fit leather for Ford already. When I had my old purple car I was looking at have them do an interior for me but I never got around to it. From memory though it was a couple of years ago it was around 2k fitted. Hope that helps. Jack

For starters I'll have to change my user name if I get one... but I am on the lookout for a G6E Turbo. My best mate has one and I am SO impressed by his car that I think I need to have one too... my original plan was to get a BF F6, but the great word I've heard about his car and having been in and around it I think I need to get one for myself. I've put an enquiry in on one at New Oak Ford in Oakleigh here in Victoria, they want a touch under 49k driveway. The car I was looking at is in the link. My preference is to have Black with Cashmere interior, the one in the link isn't exactly what I am after but the price is too hard to argue with... though there is another one in QLD link here that is pictured as having Cashmere interior under Black paint but is a stock picture meaning it is probably not even a G6ET let along having the particular interior option I am after... I'm also not sure whether they would trade in a used car interstate... I've tried looking around to get the same or similar options as a G6ET on an XR6T (leather, premium sound, reverse camera/sensors, 19's... everything etc) but they end up being around the same price... I'd prefer the G6ET simply because of the look... and it's also not an XR6T. I have already had one of those... As you can probably see I'm a complete NOOB when it comes to new cars/demo's... I haven't actually been in to a dealer yet to see what they can do for me, I'm not interested in the c)ap that comes with dealing with car sales people. Maybe Senna_T can help me from NSW? I'll drive there if the deal is right! Wish me luck! Jack

No doubt, I am sure that your car is as fast as your sig states. It's all good mate. I'm only pointing out that the rule isn't acually the rule and neither is the exception and one off time slips PROVE nothing. They are just like one off dyno figures, a measure that at that point in time show a vehicles performance. If it backs it up more than once on a dyno then so it should on a track. All good, I didn't mean to point you out specially, you were just the person who posted above me with a QTR time in their sig. Jack

I know Danny, I just find it funny that is all. Everyone asks for a time slip and he has one, yet the questions are still asked. That is all. Nothing bad here from me... I just find it funny that he has what everyone craves and yet it still isn't good enough, know what I mean? I could state that my old car could beat the shuttle to the moon but if I don't have a time slip to prove it then it means nothing. Just simply stating that the exception doesn't always prove the rule. Edit. Not only that but the rule doesn't always have an exception. Who is to say that FSIX's time at Calder is wrong too, no offence mate intended as I'm sure you have a very quick car, but just saying that if the (Goverment backed) speed camera operation on the Western Ring Road a couple of years back can be wrong and so wrong at that so can your time be, considering that there is "always something wrong at Calder somewhere". I am not having a shot at anyone here but just the simple fact that the accepted only TRUE proof of a car's performance or potential is on the track and now even that is in question. Jack

Bold section in quotes. I work with a bloke who many moons ago was a worker and union rep at Ford in Broadmeadows. He told me a story about a bloke who worked there at the time who would without fail have the Monday or the Friday of EVERY week off, not including RDO's. Eventually the company got sick of him doing this and called him and my mate the union rep in to the office to 'discuss' why he constantly has days off work. The conversation went something like this... Company: We cannot understand why you keep taking either Friday or Monday off work, is there a reason? We require everyone in this workplace to work their allocated hours each week. Do you have a valid reason? Worker: Yes mate, I do. The reason why I have a day off every week is because I can live on 4 days pay per week but not 3. Company:"insert gobsmacked expression" here So Hypnodoc you can't only be sceptical about the Monday and Friday cars simply because you have blokes like this working 'on the line' on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday too... Back when I had my XR6T I had changed my car to a T56 Manual (was a BA XR6T with a T5) and I had absoutely no issues with the T56 and mine was tuned to 346rwkw, I did upgrade the clutch though to a Mal Wood Option 3. If you are you going for big power then you will have to upgrade the clutch, but the gearbox shouldn't have many drama's with whatever you throw at it (within reason...). Jack :auto:

None of the above... I don't want to be a hater though. If you like them then it's your choice. But if it was me I'd be looking some more... especially against that colour. It's a great colour that looks brilliant in the light, it needs brilliant wheels too. I've just bought a new car and am now looking for wheels too... I want something black with a chrome lip... just like my last one's. Good luck with your search! Wheels really do make the car. Jack

Cheers Marcus, I hope he likes it. Though it is geared pretty long it also means it will pull away from fairly low speeds up to insane ones without having to change gears. I bought a new car yesterday, BA Fairmont Ghia. Black on black. It just needs wheels, black of course and to be lowered a bit. I might do it on the way home from picking it up! Jack
