Scan gauge was something I just got cause looked cool. Not all the functions work on it like l/100 but shows water temp, ignition timing, boost, and other various things that are sometimes useful. Using bendex ultimate pads

Upgraded front and rear rotors recently, DBA t3 4000 on the fronts (also went to BF type, so 322mm fronts now) DBA t2 on the rears Picture of the rears They look amazing, havent had much chance to try them yet cause wheel bearing decided it was time to go, so have to fix that now. New fuel pump also installed, Walbro GS340 just cause it seemed like a good idea. And kinda glad I did cause this is what the in-tank filter looked like... Also found a place to mount my scan gauge tool Also gave it a bath just cause it was a nice day.

If it wasn't a daily I'd go all out on it. But I'm only chasing 300rwkw and I'm currently at 265 (so almost there) Plenum yeah well it works and I don't really mind it, its the cross-over pipe that I hate currently. Haven't thought about modding the turbo at all and I don't really think theres a need to with the power I'm chasing. If the turbo it's self dies then I'd consider something then.

Cheers MattyP Been reading what most people have done to get into the 300rkwk club so basing the following changes off that. Im getting a retune in the coming weeks. Planning to change the fuel pump to a walbro gs340. Removing the factory crossover pipe and replacing with a process west one to help the flow. Considering a turbosmart actuator with 7psi spring but unsure if I need to worry about this at the moment.

Re did the intercooler over the weekend. Previous owner had it being vl spec and causing the front bumper to warp and crack. It's a HDI intercooler which doesn't fit as nicely as the process-west once but hey, its still working and temps are generally a few degrees above ambient, so I can't justify going out to get a new process-west intercooler (yet!) Made up some new brackets to support it This shows the clearance between bar and intercooler Final product without the front bar Also decided that while I had the car like this I'd change the clutch fluid Came out with chunks! Cant see them in the photo though

Hey guys, Had this car a while now, thought I might throw some details up about it. The basics: 2004 ba mk2 xr6 turbo198k on the odo, now at 210k6 speed manualpremium sound systemvelocity blueBought in october 2013Started off like this, Already had a aftermarket intercooler and cold side piping, as well as battery relocation, turbo side intake and a stupid 3" cat back exhaust. One of my mates decided he wanted a dirty skyline that was located in launcestion, only problem was the engine had blown, so trusty falcon towed it down. Didn't skip a beat on the trip. Left it in that form for a few months till I had the money spare to get it tuned as well as upgrade the following: 60lb injectorsplazmaman valve springs 4" dump4" catNo real reason for the overly large dump and cat, but hey, why not. Got it tuned at Howell automotive and it came back with 265rwkw and 573Nm of torque The tuner there told me he wouldn't push it any further with the injectors I supplied as they were too poor of quality and didn't scale right and was causing excessive fuel usage (or maybe it was my right foot) as well as causing the car to stutter when starting as the spray pattern wasn't too good. So a few weeks later I came back with some bosch 968 injectors which he suggested, but this didn't fix my fuel usage, still returning 200km to a tank at most. Turned out the new O2 sensor that was installed when I got the tune had failed, so that was changed and suddenly I was getting 350-400km to a tank again. Left it like this for a few months, then got sick of the rims, and a set of fg 18" honeycombs turned up on gumtree so I grabbed them while I could and got a new set of goodyear eagle f1 directions fitted and have been happy with this setup. I've also re done the wiring for the battery relocation (previous owner did a horrible job), made a proper mount for the passenger side battery (previous owner strapped it down ). Recently installed a reversing camera using the factory ICC as the screen, and also have a raspberry PI sitting in the tissue box that displays to the factory ICC, raspberry PI does music, videos, games and soon to also do satnav. I've also got a touch screen overlay on the factory ICC, which hooks into the raspberry PI so no need for a mouse or keyboard. In the last 2 weeks, I finally gave into the bearings that were starting the fail, so its now got new upper and lower control arm bushes, as well as new front shocks. Rear has got all new bushes, since the cradle had to be dropped anyway and sway bar links. I also managed to find a stock xr6 turbo exhaust (twin 2.25") and have fitted that which is much nicer than the silly 3" cat back exhaust. So yeah, that's about it. Im sure I've missed some of the things I've done to it but I've got plenty more I want to do. Just time and money are stopping me for now.

What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
If its anything like what happened to me, which was it would work, but as soon as I touched the brake, I couldn't activate it any more - turning the car on and off again would fix it till I touched the brakes again. Turned out on the brake pedal, there are two switches, and I think (cant remember properly) but the grey switch needs to disengage after the green one.

Finished installing the reversing camera. Works a treat. and as a bonus didn't have to drill into any metal

What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Re did the battery relocation wiring (previous owner just ran 3 new 4gauge wiring from divers side to passenger side, 1 for ground, 1 for starter motor and 1 for main power). Now I've got shorter ground goes straight from battery to a lug on the passengers side. Start motor cable goes direct as well. Picture shows how much cable was removed (around 2.5 metres worth) - starts like a dream now. Also started my reversing camera which is awesome. Just need to mount the camera and get power and video wires though the boot

Ba Xr6 Turbo Brakes
Thanks for the offer gunna, either way, very generous of you. arronm, I was under the impression that the bf's went to the 322mm rotor setup, as my ba mk2 has a 298mm front rotor, with 303mm rears

Ba Xr6 Turbo Brakes
unfortunately located in Hobart, Tasmania gunna Brembos won't fit under my wheels unfortunately, so that would be another expense. Best option for now might be to get my current ones repaired, and deal with upgrading the brakes at a later date

Ba Xr6 Turbo Brakes
Hi guys, Took the car to the mechanics this morning to get a check on the overall car, turns out bushes need replacing, and my front calipers are sticking (all of which was expected) Regarding the brakes I've only got standard 298mm rotors and calipers to suit and Im now in a position where I can either get them repaired, or upgraded. I can either get ba falcon premium brakes for around 700 dollars, or spending double that and get brembo 4 pot fronts. I've done some research and already found that the premium brakes are reported to be much better than the stock ones. But haven't found too much info on the brembos. Car has been tuned and all the works, and I've got decent tires on it. Any suggestions guys? I don't need the best, just considering an upgrade given the situation im in

Ba Falcon Surge Of Power
Hi guys, Have a bit of a weird issue with my falcon. Occasionally when I got to take off, its like I have no power at all. At first I thought it was throttle related, and since the car is 10 years old, I decided to change the throttle body, tps and accelerator pedal box. This didn't fix the problem but now I have piece of mind that this shouldn't be an issue. Im starting to think that it might be tune related? When I first got the car tuned, I had 660cc injectors that turned out to be dodgy and caused excessive fuel consumption. So a few weeks later I took the car back to where it was tuned and got some bosch 42lb injectors installed and fitted. Could this changed have caused an issue with the tune? In which case I should get the car retuned? Before being tuned I used to average 14l/100. But now after the tune I can't get it below 18l/100. Anyone had an issue like this before? Or have any suggestions? Thanks

Yeah. I'm very happy with the looks now. Only problem is they make my rotors look tiny haha

On another note, anyone have any xgauge codes that will work with a falcon? I've tried searching for ba falcon xgauge but that doesn't return much.

Ba Xr6T Modding Help
Probably not worth the effort. More in favour of ditching them and getting something more reputable. Bosch or similar. That's a point for the op. From my experience buy brand name injectors

Ba Xr6T Modding Help
And yeah the fuel pump is still stock too

Ba Xr6T Modding Help
Yeah that I agree with. Just the ones I have aren't so good. They didn't scale well when tuned. Tuner said it would push more with better quality injectors
-
Ba Xr6T Modding Help
Injectors I bought turned out to be not so good so they're the limiting factor. That's all the tuner was willing to push out of it with them
