Servicing the T in Victoria
I agree with XRDreaming Knox Ford stands out as one of the best dealers for servicing. Always have fixed my problems and even Ford CRC reconise their ability to look after and service the T Scoot

New Roads
I get black spots quite regularly on my T around the wheel arches and rear bumper - I dont remember any new sections of road that Ive travelled on (Emerald to Burwood Vic)- its been happening to me since new - for 1 year. I have become obsessive with them they are there nearly every wash. That'll teach me to get a hgag car wont it I have no idea how or why they appear but I simply remove them by some Kero on a rag as Im washing it - (BTW I have always washed my cars with a dash of kero in the water anyways). Ive just replaced my Tyres with Dunlops 3000A again - they are back more than ever again could it be the tyres?

Creaky Accelerator Pedal
Mine creaked as well - they tried lubing it with no success it was internal - so they replaced it - take it to the dealer. Might be my imagination but the accelerator pedal seems more responsive after the replacement but in any case the computer seems to need reseting when they replace it. scoot

Dangerous Loss Of Power - Original Post
FYI On May 20th I started the thread Dangerous Loss Of Power, Whist overtaking (a bit long). Since that last post it happen again and the accelerator assembly was replaced - Now seems OK!! :D After that was seemingly fixed - the car varied in power - exactly like the symptoms in thread Low Power Xr6t, Low Boost and Low Powerso I phoned Ford CRC to complain only to have them tell me that its my fault as I have to take it back to the dealer when ever problems occur? (They didnt care much - boy did I let them have it). I ended up taking it to the dealer as suggested by CRC but this time a diferent one and this is more important for some of you with this problem it was found that there was water in the bottom of the fuel tank! Worst still I was probaly had been there for quite a while as the Fuel pump had started to rust! The bloke who worked on my car showed the Fuel that came out of the pump - it looked like washing machine "grey water". It seems some how that very early on in the life of my car I must have got a very dirty lot of Optimax (that's all that's ever been in it). Almost since new I couldnt drive it in SSS mode as it would surge as I was maintaining speed slightly making it uncomfortable to drive. I got it back yesterday and all seems fantastic again - touch wood (hand on head) I can even drive in SSS mode all the time if I want. Didnt have much of a chance to try it out completely as yesterday was a nice day and too much traffic on the road. The dealership that has fixed it finally has a new customer. :D Just to let you all know it might be over

Water Pump/o-ring Failure.
Mine was done on the 15000KM service. Diagnosed when they pressure tested the cooling system as part of the service. I actually thought it wasnt going to happen to me as it had no symtoms except the coolant was orange.

Confidential Dealer Notice
Called mine in on Monday for noisey steering been happening for about 3 weeks - Like a ball joint problem - a noticable clunk when reversing and if I turned the steering from almost lock to lock a clunk was heard and felt. They said they loosened off the steering rack and retensioned it!!! - (reading into it I think something was loose) but alls well now. Seems to handle and turn abit more responsive now (maybe in my head). Scoot B)

Black Disks Purpose?
Does anyone know the purpose of the black disks between the wheel and the brake rotor???? AU's seem to have them as well. Removing them seems to expose the rotor more and look abit better for us on stanard brakes.(are they on premium brakes) Can they be causing the brake shudder prob by limiting the air circulation from around the brake. Any thoughts Scoot

My Turbo Has Arrived
I didnt plan to post pictures because others before have posted Merc Silver pics before. I might after I clean it Sunday. My previous car was a AUII V8 Ute so the extra nellies of the XR6T are felt. (A lot more room in this as well :D ) Kevin: I cant comment on whether the XR6T its better than a high modded STi but I only assume that you cannt be over exited about it as you are thinking of XR6T. I would personally go for the XR6T more of a performance/people mover car the a STi.

My Turbo Has Arrived
Just taken delivery of my new Mercury Silver XR6T ............ what a car!!!!!!!!!! Don't know about you guys/gals do you have the urge to just keep going when you reach you destination? I do - a very hard car to leave. The car is ausome The best decision I have ever made (considering I was looking at a AWD Magna Sport for only $3000 less - I hate Holdens). The great looking Acid Rush XR6T up around Woori Yallock - Yarra Junction area near where I live actually swayed my decision in the end - Thanks I ordered just the "plain" car with Darkest Leagal Tint, Towpack and Mats but in hindsight 18" wheels should have been ordered as well. On a Novated for 3 years 25000 KM though my companies finace. This part is going to hurt most of you waiting ..................4 week wait on a fleet discount - I think the prospect of my companies business (very large multi national) might have had something to do with it maybe. Anyone on this forum whos undecided on this car - just do it you wont regret it at all. Scoot
