  1. Well thanks for your input and I think your attitude towards engine emissions is very irresponsible..................we're all entitled to our opinion. Regards Peter
  2. Absolutely spot on Ross.............it's like adding a small intercooler to the inlet charge. Peter APS
  3. Yes and if and when modifying cars is banned permanently we will have all of these people to thank for it. Don't say it can't or wont happen one day as it's on the agenda right now.............if we continue to blatantly ignore and break EPA laws and RTA regulations the time will come when the authorities will act. Try living in LA for 12 months and say you don't care about engine emissions. Peter APS
  4. Why because you say so...............this must make it so. Brian you never cease to amaze me......you've owned 5 turbo cars so now you're an absolute expert/legend on every turbo related issue..................I get the impresion that you believe you can say what you like and continually slag APS products and never be held accountable for your comments. Regards Peter
  5. Yeah the best way to debate an issue when you don't know what you on about is to change the topic..............well done Brian. I can also say that I know of many Nizpro engines which have failed and this does not make it absolutely true and I doubt that your comments are accurate.............though this has nothing to do with your original comments pertaining to aux injectors. I sure I'm right and I look foward to you providing an emission report proving that your car is emission legal..............otherwise you have just designed another illegal high performance road car..............good stuff. Peter APS
  6. Hey brian I bet you any amount of money that the 6 correctly mapped aux injectors on the T engine will be emission legal, smoother to drive, and more fuel efficient than 6 very large injectors controlled by a stand alone computer. Peter APS

    Unichip Question?

Yeah Mark is a really good guy and one of the best dyno tuners in Australia....................I'd rate him in the top 5 tuners within Australia. Peter APS
  8. Of course we have data to verify the back pressure tests................and it's really easy to verify for yourself with a pressure gauge plumbed into the exhaust system.............same process as measuring positive pressure in the intake manifold. The APS 304 stainless steel TIG welded exhaust system is $1897 inc GST. I doubt you will find any other exhaust system offers the same build quality, performance, and also meet the EPA noise limit at any price. If you're half serious about purchasing an APS exhaust system best to jump in soon as we won't offer this exhaust system as a stand alone product when current stocks are sold out. Peter APS

    Unichip Question?

No worries...............by the way who is doing the install and tuning for you? Peter

    Unichip Question?

No problem at all................all you have to do is ask the right question. Cheers peter

    Unichip Question?

Yes it completely rectifies the over boost problem........if you clamp the 2 map sensor voltages correctly.................no more over boost engine shut down. Peter APS
  12. With the Unichip computer we can tune the engine to run on 98 ron premium unleaded and if you need to run on a lower octane fuel from time to time we can also generate a second map to cater for either 91 or 95 octane fuel. Peter APS
  13. Just to clarify the cat issue................the APS cat is a genuine 3.5'' (internal entry size) cat fully imported from Europe................the external size of the cat body is approx 5''. The exhaust back pressure on the APS exhaust at 330 RWkW's is Zero...........you can't get better than a zero Back Pressure exhaust system...............noise legal too. The APS system is manufactured in 304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded.................built to withstand high exhaust gas temperature............with exhaust systems it's true to say you get what you pay for. Peter APS

    Unichip Question?

Jason the Unichip performs this function and much more.................I guess the real question should be can the haltech perform similar functions to the Unichip. Clamping the map sensors voltages is the correct approach...............this way the stock computer does not get upset and the Unichip can take full control of mapping the boost curve to the desired level across the entire RPM range. Peter APS
  15. DR Z, Well I'm glad to hear that you're starting to feel the hunger for some additional grunt and that the new phase II may well be the answer for your needs. No doubt we have big plans for the Typhoon though nothing that I can share with you at the moment.................suffice to say the APS phased system will deliver awesome bang for buck and we be a highly developed and tested system. I can now confirm the revised price structure of the APS phase III system which is $4664 installed and tuned including GST (on top of the initial phase II price of $4565 installed)................power and torque levels remain unaltered.................or a grand total of $9229 if phase II/ III parts are installed at the identical time. Thanks also in advance for taking the time to update the comparison spreadsheet................I will be interested to view this comparison when completed. Peter APS
  16. The new APS Phase II product will start flowing through to dealers at the end of this month (Spiro has about 20 phase II systems on order) so not long to wait now. I'm not sure why CRS let the cat out of the bag so early with news of the new APS phase II system .................as you can see this was thread was started by a CRS customer not APS. I don't believe this will be much of a problem for the APS dealers as there are still many customers who may well prefer to have the larger fuel pump fitted with the new phase II system. It's simply another choice for the customer. Peter APS
  17. Thanks for your kind words of support...........APS will always continue to strive and to develop the best performance products possible to suit the T..........with excellent bang for buck being a high priority whilst maintaining high quality engineered components. Peter APS
  18. I would say a definite Yes to that question as there has been many STOCK XR6T's which have experienced auto trans problems over the last 6 months or so. It's high torque at low rpm which the auto trans really struggles to cope with and the addition of a large auto trans cooler would also be a very worthwhile investment. Peter APS
  19. OK it's great to know that you're excited with new APS Phase II system.........at APS is all about delivering the best possible performance and drivability whilst keeping the product very affordable for our customer base. I believe that when you consider the entire content of the phase II system it's difficult to imagine any better value for money being possible.............this has always been our goal...............that's to deliver awesome torque and power with extremely high quality engineered componenets. Peter APS
  20. Tom the new Phase II price is $4565 installed and dyno tuned inc GST................I reckon this has to be the best bang for buck possible for the XR6T..............what do think? APS Phase III prices will be available next week...............not much change really just the addition of the fuel pump. Here's a link to the updated web page http://www.aps-xr6t.com/falcon/phase_ii.htm Regards Peter
  21. APS has always sold directly to retail consumers (in house fitments) so I don't understand how these silly rumors get started. APS dealers are appointed to resell product to their customers and there are certain commercial and technical conditions that all APS dealers must meet. Mention of an $8000 fee is plain wrong..............APS is far more concerned about the dealers ability to provide excellent workmanship and customer service. Peter APS
  22. Im pretty sure its of the ABS sensors so a change in diff wont help. Spot on TURBO4LT regarding the speed signal used for the speed limiter. Removing the speed limiter is a very complex procedure without adversely affecting other vital systems. George APS Web Team...and other stuff
  23. Hi Dr Z, The implications are certainly all positive. As Peter had said in a previous post, we now have sufficient long-term test data to support the conclusion that at PHASE II power levels, it is prudent to revise the PHASE II component specification and move the fuel pump from PHASE II to PHASE III – without affecting the power level (PHASE II remains at 330 kW). In addition, due to the consistently high production levels of the PAHSE II system components, APS has developed higher efficiency production techniques and gained better raw component purchasing power. This means that the manufacturing cost of the PHASE II system has become less expensive to APS. These are savings that APS is pleased to pass on to our customers. That along with the revised specification (now with no requirement for the fuel pump and the associated installation costs borne by fitment of the fuel pump), the overall cost of the PHASE II system to the APS customer is as you have seen significantly lower. As we have seen with the revised PHASE I system some time ago, the revised PHASE II (and PHASE III – now with fuel pump), system specifications are never static. It is an APS goal to re-examine APS products on a regular basis as long-term test data is generated in order to continue to produce the best possible engine performance solutions at the most cost effective price to our customers. At the end of the day, we have passed on the benefits of lower manufacturing and component costs onto our customers. I trust that this clarifies the reasoning behind the revised PHASE II and PHASE III specifications. It also makes the PHASE II system arguably the most cost effective way of moving into the happy side of the 12 second club – with proven emission compliance….....here we go again  George APS Web Team…and other stuff
  24. Dave, I always recommend stronger valve springs when getting up into the higher power levels (say over 250 RWkW's) in particular when the car is running high power with the stock exhaust. With the APS phase 11 system it's much less of a worry due to the massive reduction of exhaust back pressure (back pressure at the valves) because of the very low restriction delivered by the fitment of the APS exhaust system. Peter APS
  25. No worries Frank and the revised phase 11 system certainly has been tested and approved by APS...............not something that an APS dealer has decided to do under his own steam. Will pass on your thanks to Robbie and I'm pleased to know that you're happy with the retune...........................341 RWkW's is real street weapon. Cheers Peter
