  3. Ran at Calder with a consistant 14.6 second run stock using that technique. Temp was around 27C high humidity. A mate with manual was running 14.3 I think higher revs might help but I started to get wheel spin on the launch with traction control off. I dont think loading up the torque converter is good for it so I try and keep it instantaneous. (Any auto techs out there please contribute your thoughts.) Lets see what the mods can do.
  4. Use Prepsol, It works brilliant. You will have to re-apply your polish treatment but it will get rid of smudges and scuffs and not damage your paint if you are not too harsh with it. Use ScratchX to get rid of any swirl marks you might leave when buffing the finish on the duco only.
  5. Firstly run her in properly. There are some really good forum replys about this. While moving anticipate kick down time delay and power application, be EXTREMELY carefull in the wet. She will bite hard. Use Perf auto select when below 80km otherwise normal Drv above 80km is fine. Perf selected adds about 300-500rpm over Drv revs. For the launch select Perf, just prior to launch hold her above 2000rpm with brakes locked. let go and plant it on green and enjoy. Traction control ON for no smoke.
  6. Nice! I haven't stopped smiling anyways. Thanks for the advice!
  7. I have been cruisin this site for quite a while now. Lots of good info. And by damn I got a T and what a ride she is! My question is about the EDIT. Is it a set reprogramming of the ECU, or a hardware addon that selectively uploads profiles to the ECU? I'm in VIC, what would you recommend in getting an EDIT? I need some more sting.

Good point gogo. When my boat was knocked off, the dude tried to sell me my own boat back six months later, after I answered a trading post add. It was gratifying to see handcuffs slapped on him after the trial. Once the heat is off, then they will try to offload their haul. They would have cased the joint. They knew what they were after. (shop video?) The tools are gonna be hard to trace, the personalised radiator will be their downfall. (Funny about nice shiny objects... hmmm, shiny... ) Lets hope they cant help themselves and the guys get their kit back.
  9. Would you like to devulge your source, or is it merely speculation? I would hazard that its pure speculation.

  11. Drive one, You will love it. No matter what it costs.... However give those pricks at the Ford dealership no let up. You want your car NOW as you would. And shop the sh^#t out of it. I got approved maximum "legal" window tinting on the BA that my normal sunglasses would be three times as protective as. The duco protection wont let me use my favourite car wash. No Floor matts. I got the tow pack without a friggen tow ball! These guys are getting slack. Other than that, pedal to the metal she is brilliant!
