^^^ what would happen in that scenario? Would XFT have to make an insurance claim? Or the owner? And what if it was stupidly modded :/ or does XFT have some sign saying "we take no responsibility for damage to property" or something?

I will probably have to make it to the next one then It will be cool to see all the super modded cars...I just get paranoid of coppers and booze buses (for no reason of coarse.....) lol I will have to just go by myself I think. ..the mrs hates it when I do WOT driving ... pretty annoying really cause I don't know why she gets so scared for? Is you car lowered? If so what springs? I will be running ssl kings all round (maybe buy sssl rears one day) and think I read somewhere that the bottom of dump pipe can scrape over speed humps, etc. Did you modify it as I read you can cut and re-weld it to make it shorter and therefore not scrape??? Or are you using a different brand?

Hmmmm....really? I thought I read somewhere that high flow cat + more boost means louder exhaust? And yeah maybe it's just the fact that 3" isn't any better than stock system? Even though it would seem like it should be slightly better? Maybe I won't stinge out and just pay the extra $200 for the xforce 3.5 single catback....was also considering twin 2.5 with quad tips plus s/s mufflers for just under 1k delivered...but once again that is like 2.5 times more expensive than this 3" option.....goddam my stinginess!@!@! Lol Maybe I will just keep saving then :( Plus I read xforce is like the quietest aftermarket exhausts available lol And barely louder than stock? Except at WOT I assume...

But why is it restrictive??? Replacing 2 twin 2.25 pipes (I assume) with a single 3" should be beneficial? Or am I just not understanding the way exhausts work Plus stock exhaust not loud enough :/ #fgproblems hahaha Didn't even see this part of your post lol yeah I would love a 3" twin manta...but apparently you cant buy the catback/ you cant make the stock cat/dump match the twin 3" ...plus $3200+postage+install for a full exhaust is wayyyy too much for me lol And I heard 4" exhausts are super hard to get on...cause so big...plus they expand and can hit chassis or bottom of car. Plus scraping on speed humps or sh!tty angled roads (carpark, driveways, etc). The other option was 3.5" xforce catback with stainless mufflers (apparently that's the best option with m/s piping and s/s mufflers for sound?) .... and that would match up to my euro 4 cat pipe with high flow balistic cat welded in (it was lengthened as apparently even though xforce advertise as bolt on....its actually shorter and therefore around 100-150mm needs to be welded to cat pipe to make it meet the beginning of xforce catback exhaust)...or so the guy who sold it to me said

But what about noise? I just want it a bit louder cause too quite....or will a tune with 13-16psi fix that issue? Lol

Even if its a minimal improvement? Or are you saying the improvement isn't worth the $$$ outlay? As title states, there's a super cheap catback available ATM, but just wondering if I should even bother? Any drone or tinny sound to it? I was reading some old posts and a few people have been saying a single 3" exhaust is actually worse than the stock BA/BF exhausts???? So by that logic the single 3" catback would be sh!thouse for an FG which has a better/more efficient exhaust than the B series???? This is for SEDAN.....so I think I saw that the stock system is mainly 3" all the way through except the middle muffler pipes that connect to cat pipe (which has twin pipes in a funny squiggly pattern). So firstly anyone actually used this NZ brand of exhaust, or is it a waste of time/money? Will it help when I put my ballistic cat in and my round 1 tune (hoping for around low 300's or high 290 something) and does it sound better than say the middle muffler removal? Again old posts people were just saying remove centre muffler and high flow cat and that enough for 320-350rwkw ?? so by that logic in an FG the stock exhaust plus middle remove plus high flow cat could handle even more power? The reason I'm hesitant about centre muffler removal is cause everyone seems to hate the sound, some of them drone and of coarse heaps of exhaust shops tell me people come in, pay to remove, and then come back one week later and either put back old system or buy something different cause they HATED it lol Any help would be muchly appreciated Cheers! If it makes any difference...planned mods are going to be: BPR CAI with Plaz Delete Pipe 1000cc Injectors (I think the Bosche ones?) Ballistic High flow cat F6 cooler with PW intercooler pipes Was considering getting a catback of some sort (only if its beneficial in obtaining a few more kws) X Cal + Tune by Monsta Torque (so level 1 tune) and still tossing up whether to stick to 98 or go P100 I'm thinking the P100 might be enough to push me into the 300 club?

I was thinking the ones on fleabay....they are exchange ones or $500 if you don't have good condition lights...these are for FG's btw....but at least you confirmed if you do it properly it wont come apart (as one guy was saying to me if you buy halos they will fall apart and never be the same again )

Yeah hopefully you have a nice easy sale....although there are a few FG's on the market right now But I'm sure the right buyer is out there somewhere! haha And cheers for the info on the bonnet...sounds way to complicated for my liking (and would prob cost me heaps to fabricate something similar)...and knowing me I would probably just settle on a v8 bonnet cause its cheaper lol On a side note.......does anyone here know about the exhaust brand called "Rage" ? I think its a NZ made brand....but just wondering if any WA people have an opinion on them? I'm going to start a thread in exhaust section to see if anyone knows anything about them. I might be looking at a 3 inch catback exhaust, but don't know whether its just a waste of time/money. There was one youtube video clip, and it sounded OK (but I guess many of you cool kids running high boost would think it sounds sh!ttywok and 'tinny')....plus videos always sound different in real life, and I suspect this brand may drone heaps or something (and that's why its available cheap). And I know the FG is mainly 3" catback, but there is the pipes from centre muffler to cat pipe I think, that is actually 2 twin pipes (in a very funny shape)....so by removing this maybe it will help later on when I can afford my tune and install my ballistic high flow cat? And maybe the straight through mufflers will be more efficient than stock system? I think the guy said it was straight through mufflers and mild steel but painted black.

Or did you just purchase the scoops and get someone to modify your stock bonnet? Or did you buy the car like that already and have no idea?

I just thought v8s were supposed to have good low-mid range (or maybe it was mid-high range) lol and LOL at the caught napping off boost in a B series stock turbo....none of that bs in my FG baby turbs but yeah you will chop me in the higher revs/after the 120kph mark hahah Also thought I spotted you the other day steve on the Mitchell around 6pm....but fairly sure it was just another silver XR6T....he only had stock 17s and I didn't see no brembos so don't think it was you! (plus he was in tradie clothes and I think I read somewhere you are an IT guy?).

Also I saw this guy selling the first fg gt (2008 #001 build) with 50,000kms...and hes trying to get 75K. Would having the #1 build actually deserve the premium price hes asking? I guess maybe when its actually a "classic" maybe its worth it then?
