not many tuners in kalgoorlie, and I dont know when I will be able to get it to perth. I think I would be happy with about 300kw. Just need to find someone who will do a tune for me.

Modifications I have so far: APS power pipe with blow off valve 2.5 inch exhaust from cat back walbro fuel pump tuned with a CAPA flash tuner. I have been to see the local work shop who does dyno tuning as my current tune has a problem and the fuel consumption is going up and up. I have been told I would not be able to get over 260 hp at the flywheel but I am fairly positive when my car was tuned before I had 260KW at the wheels. Now I have bigger injectors I would like to get them fitted and get it retuned, but I have been told it is a waste of time as I need a new exhaust either 3 or 3.5 inch to allow me to get any more power out of my car. The question I have is do I need to upgrade my exhaust to make it worth while fitting the injectors / retuning my car? I dont want to go over 300 rwkw. I may need to send my Flash tuner away for a new tune / is this an option as I do not see myself getting back to perth in the near future? Thanks

The honda 4 strokes for that era are XR's, I dont think they are any good, depends on what type of riding your into. I have the later 4 stroke CRF 250 , these things are beasts but are not that cheap either.

Cr 125 is a 2 stroke, bike 2 strokes need to be rebuilt every so often with new piston's and rings etc which is only a couple of hundered bucks for parts. It is the mechanical side of things you have to worry about plastics can always be changed along with sticker kits that come with seat covers etc, an older bike can look very respectable.

Fellas I currently have on my car a walbro fuel pump BOV, and APS pipe upgraded clutch for the T5 changed hose clamps second CAI and an edit running 266 RWKW My fuel consumption has gone up frpm 12.1 ltrs per 100kms to 14.2 ltrs per 100kms I drve to work which is about 20km's each way on the hwy so I will be getting this checked out soon as it keeps creeping up no matter how much a try to drive like an oldie and just cruise! I also want to get a 4 inch dump and a high flow cat soon! I have heard of people knocking the cat out and I am interested in hearing the pro's and cons for or against this! I also want to get my injectors updated to the nizpro drilled out injectors and a highflow unifilter fitted then get the car retuned! What sort of power should I be making after these few Changes Cheers

meguires clay bar finished off then with meguires gold glass finish is the best stuff, takes about 4 - 5 hours to do it all thoroughly though! and the paint finish will be silky smooth

I think the evo 6 is slightly faster than the wrx! The wrx modified can run low 12's.

fellas how do you go with the super low on the fron and the super super low on the rears, does it cause any issues with tyre wear etc. I have been talking about getting springs done and I have been told that I need to fit adjusted shocks and a Camber Castor kit. Does this sound right or should I just get the springs fitted?

yep its a manual, this heal and toe stuff would take a bit of getting used to, I just enjoy having a rear wheel drive again! In the 5.7 I managed to smoke the wheels once and that was because I was going up a hill! Burnouts have never been my strong point, but its a good time to start learning.

I was wondering how to do a burn out? I can get the wheels to spin in first and then the car just takes off! I dont want to do a huge burn out just a little one! All the cars I have owned and I have never done a proper burn out.

I have a 5 speed manual and enjoy it but I think the auto would be quicker on the takeoff as it would hold more boost during gear changes

I would like to know what type of intercooler everyone is using, I am thinking of upgrading the intercooler and was wondering at what power level do you need to upgrade from the standard intercooler? Things that I like to keep in mind when upgrading Cost? Size / Capacity of intercooler? Pressure drop across intercooler? Power gain? Intake Temp, what was it before upgrading and after upgrading? I am interested in intercoolers that bolt into the factory location. I know there has been a thread about intercoolers and the one Dynowog supplies,but I am after a comparison of a couple before making a decision!

so I thought I would put a picture of it up on here for everyone to see! I am not much of a person for cleaning/ polishing my car, normally I leave that job upto the detailer. I just used a basic wash and wax, what else does everyone use to try and clean there car? I am interested in something that is easy to apply and wash off that gives good results. Hopefully the picture is not too huge! Thanks

I have test drove a 2004 FPV Gt and thought it was slow and painfull to drive, I nearly brought it because I like the way it looked. I now have a 2003 XR6T which is a very nice car to drive, I have a cat back exhaust system and I am happy with the note that I get from it.

yep Simon did fit the cooler thermostat I was just going through getting some stuff to clean my car and notices I had a spare bottle sitting there not used. I thought it would be pointless to just leave it sitting around.

I know some of the subaru workshops used this and claimed it reduces coolant temps etc, has anyone used it in the XR6T? I have a spare bottle and was thinking about chucking it in. Has anyone removed the standard plastic pipe and had a custom stainless steel one made up? if so was the size kept the same or different. I am thinking about getting a mate to make one up and I will get it fitted with my next tune etc.

there are kits available that spray dry ice but I have heard they are expensive! A kit similar to what I have cost around $550 I think and greatly reduces intake temps.

you could buy the kits fairly cheaply I thought, around $550 for the tank,pump etc. I just need to get a new hobbs switch, sprays and a check valve so the tank will not syphon. Sounds like it works OK anyway!

on the trip back to Kal from Perth the other day I started off with an average of 12.6L/ 100kms and ended up using 11.9L/ 100kms. I thought that was pretty good sitting on 115 with cruise control on in 5th.

how much do they cost roughly for a powered up option? I was also wondering if Ford might fit them too! has anyone had any problems with their sunroof leaking etc?
