  1. Well I have already bought a new car so the trade options is off the table. So you are correct, its now about whether I can be bothered getting the run around selling privately but then ultimately the only other option is selling to a wholesaler which is probably worse than a trade. As the car is clearly a performance vehicle I am imagining that selling privately will attract some yobs. Anyone had a bad experience? Or a good one?
  2. I am selling my 2012 XR6T Limited edition. I wasn't happy with the trade price offered but am also hesitant to go down the private sale route after some miserable experiences (granted they were 20 years ago). Do you think its worth trying to sell privately or am I likely to end up with a never ending stream of people wasting my time?
  3. ah right yeah, that's like $400 less than what xforce quoted me direct. Well I might have to invest in one of them too, if its before you do yours then will let you know if its a winner.
  4. Good research there mate, I might also go for the 2.5" but where are you getting one for $800??
  5. This is what XForce had to say when I asked them about their systems and droning: "Some people will acceptable to the drone but some people will not. So, it's really hard for us to say which is the right system with the right sound for you" So seems like they are saying their systems DO drone.
  6. Looks like we are in the same boat there cjy92, my biggest fear is forking out $$$ for a system that sounds like a cessna. I was all set to get into the hitech catback and then I read elsewhere on here that the design isnt that great and then I heard that xforce can drone on an auto...who knows!
  7. So I was looking at hitech catback for my FG, is the general consensus then that they suck? I am a bit wary of the XForce as I have heard with an auto they can drone, basically after a 2.5" twin catback that gives a better note than stock and does not drone!!
  8. I have an FG auto, I have heard (well from google) that the XForce can drone with an automatic. Anyone know if that's true or not? I am facing the exact same dilemma, wanting a catback, not sure if DiFillipo, Redback, XForce or HiTech is the way to go. Wanting a nice deep note without sounding like a bogan doing laps with NO drone - preferably a twin system as I like the look but the key is the deep note and lack of drone...
  9. Well I certainly do a lot of stop/start city driving. Next time I am at the servo I will take note of exactly how many litres went in and then reverse engineer from there as to potential range.
  10. Bit of both, looking at the odo and then how much range it says is left which I know is next to useless but I am typically filling up at just on 300 with less than a quarter left which is probably good for 50 max
  11. I am getting somewhere between 300 and 350 clicks per tank, have only had the car for 3 tanks worth (2012 model with 8000 on the clock) so wondering if that would be normal, it seems pretty low. Clearly it depends on the type of fuel and the lead-ness of the drivers foot but even with 95 and driving relatively sedately it still chews it. By my calculations that nowhere near the stated figures of 12L/100 If not then what could it be? Also I have read that getting a tune can help fuel economy, by how much? And I am assuming that's all in theory because you would negate any benefit by flooring it more.
  12. I am new to the XR6T (only a week long owner) however I have noticed a loud fan runs for a while after turning the engine off. I am assuming this has something to do with cooling but its pretty loud - is it normal? Coincidence or not I have only really noticed this since getting the exhaust ring removed (euro 4), not sure if its related, I read on this forum that a tune was not required after removing the ring.
  13. I ended up getting the ring pulled out. According to the post linked above no re-tune is needed so I have gone with that. Couple of questions then: How would I know if a tune was required, what sort of engine feedback would tell me its not right? I have noticed (and have posted a separate topic) that when I turn the engine off there is often a loud fan that runs for a minute or so, I am guessing this is some sort of cooling fan, is that normal? Call me paranoid but I have only had the car for a week and only noticed the fan since doing the exhaust.
  14. Excellent find dude, much appreciated. Thinking about taking the trip out to Autotech Engineering, they seem to know their business.
  15. I phoned up Cromer Exhaust and they have never heard of this ring, they have done plenty of Territories, anyone have more info or even a diagram. I live on the northern beaches in sydney so shops are few and far between locally.
