Raging. Had the mods done a few years back and the economy was far better/Expecially on a highway run.I get 680km to a tank from Sydney to Brisvegas and 500 around the town. Put your foot down and you will be searching for a fuel leak out the back,Just like any car. You might want to try those big wheels first as I had some 275/35/20s on the other week to see how they would go and it was shocking.Maybe some 45/50 series would be better and some lowered springs for sure.Car was sitting way to high with this set up on. I just gave them back to my mate so PM me if you want his contact details.They require 4 new tyres as well. I would say you could get 1K for your originals on a trade in. How did your mods go anyway/Was that booked in today.Attach a dyno sheet if you got one.

Raging. This is my 5 ford in 10 years which I use mainly for business.Currently I have 115Kms on it and it seems to the best car of the lot. Quality control seems to be good with no window failures,Paint issues or rust. Tyres last me 55/60000kms and are still on original brake pads but I do allot of Highway Kms.I dont see any advantage with the bigger brakes on the fx6 as the original ones dont fade or warp. I had the edit done plus injectors and exhaust and removed Turbo badges so a nice sleeper that all the idiots dont want to race you all the time.Actually the only time I have had a duel and got flogged was from a F6 with a APS 2 kit on it.Nothing will touch you off the line but and nothing at all in the wet. 4WD is excellant in the wet and the ride is very comfortable.I might upgrade the springs one day but dont see the point at present. I can tow my 26ft boat quite well once up to speed that actually does a better job than my V8 explorer. I think 60-70K is to much for a FX6 or a new Ghia and would expect you could find a low milage ghia for around late 30s to 40K.

Authur. Can you tell me which sensor is the oil pressure sender.There is one sticking out of the block underneath the throttle body plus another one on a angle pointing to the rear of the car coming out near the cooler.I am looking with a mirror by the way as cant see j--k s--t. The one on the front of the block is a engine oil temp sensor so the angled one was one more I presume?. You make it sound simple mate by saying just drop the compressor and cooler,I cant even see the rear bolts for the cooler. Thinking maybe I might take intake manifold off but this is not a easy job either.

RAP1D. Are you referring to the main spin on filter?. I always use genuine Filters from Ford.

Damm Just read the 8 pages of notes regarding this oil screen/I thought there was mode down to the TTg in size. This is going to be a nightmare of a job.A must do modification but I think reading all the posts. Damm again.

Zap. The screen is behind the oil cooler underneath the inlet manifold right?.

Dyno Junkie. I had a look this morning where the oil pressure switch sits behind the KTM Cooler,This does not look like a easy job. How long did it take you to do or did you get the warranty people to look after it?. Would it be a idea to run some sort of oil flush to see what happens.

Guys. Has anybody come across this before. I start my TT in the morning lately and after 20 seconds the Oil light comes on and starts beeping for 2 seconds then goes off.Does not come at all until hot. I have just noticed the last couple of days in heavy traffic as well at idle the same light will come on after idleing for say 30 seconds.I give it a extra 100rpm and it goes out. Has anybody had problems with there oil pressure sender units at all. The car is serviced every 10K and it is not looseing/Useing any oil at all.The dipstick is showing full and I always use good quality oil as well. Could this maybe the same problem that XR6T have with the oil screen blocking up maybe?. I have not had a oil pressure guage on it yet as cant se why it flashs first thing in the morning where there should be nearlly double the pressure. Any thoughts or surgestions would be great. I have 110k as well if I have missed something in the service side maybe.

City ford in Sydney has a new white one on sale this weekend 62K Power ford has a demo in blue with 3K on the clock for 64K Titan ford has a silver demo with 11K km for 65K Hope this helps. I had the same from posting in the FPV section as they have a demo F6 in blue for 64K.And another one in Sydney in Silver [Demo] for the same price.I got replies out of Qld saying that you can get a new one for 61K?.I think maybe these GE6Ts have been a good seller for Ford as they seem to have moved allot more of these cars than F6s or GTs.They needed to fill the gap with prestige and performance which was well done.No more Fairlanes or LTDs anymore.A nice LTD with a 310 F6 motor would be nice.Get those politicians to work abit quicker anyway.

Ron. The beauty of this forum is getting feedback from people who have bought these cars already.I wanted to get some responses that have given me a indication of what to expect/Not the final price. From the responses already given I would assume I can if I go ahead that a demo model with low Kms would go for around maybe 50/52K/Late 08 early 09 53/56K if any left/ time of month or floor stock etc etc etc. A new one as per dealer prices where over 60K for my choice paint options etc so everybody who has replied are right.Exactly what I wanted to hear. I did not know that the cars did not come with a LSD standard either but reading forum posts there seem to be a few aftermarket options there if that's what I wanted. I could even get them to fix the squeaky seat before delivery as well if I want. Thank you guys for being so informative.

Guys. I have been offered a demo 09 F6 with 11K on it from a sydney dealer for 64K.After speaking to a sales guy down there they have new F6s in black but nearlly 80K.I dont think so. I was on Lane fords website this morning and they have them brand new for 67K?. Since all of you have done your deals already what do you think about this price.?. I am going to trade my TT territory on it if the deal is right. Is this the sort of money I should be looking at?. I am not impressed with the trade value but 2nd hand cars are not worth anything anymore. I am going to take advantage on the 50% governent handout plus depreciation as a business vehicle. All comments would be much appreciated.

Trading it mate. There only talking 20K but so may change my mind upgrading.That just got me going straight away. I was thinking of a new F6 but when they started talking nearlly 80K I nearlly hang up.Titan ford have a demo F6 for 64K but I think that should really be the new price for one.Really have not had a good exprience in the past 10 years buying 4 new cars. You would think it would be a good exprience but when you start doing it it nearlly makes more sense hanging onto what you have,

Guys. Time for me to upgrade my TT territory and like the look of these cars.Have painfully spoken to 3 dealers today are all all saying 60K plus. I have read the total GE6 forum site from all you guys and it seems like 50/52K is the right sort of $. Have a few questions to limit the pain dealing with these guys. Want to buy in Sydney or close by. Dont want to get to p--sed off in dealing with salesman Who has had a good exprience buying one of the these cars in Sydney without all the crap?. Wont pay more than 52K either. All comments will be very much appreciated.I fiqure I can reduce the pain by about 3/4 weeks chatting to you guys. Taa.

Really makes you understand why there nearlly going belly up world wide.that's just very bad customer service. I would go another brand as well.

As you drive in to the sales yard from Hoyles Rd its just sitting there next to a standard Territory.Been there for a while mate so dont be shy with your offer if your interested.They make heaps on Demo models. I think they have 66K on it.Offer them under 60/Around 55K is about right for a demo FX. Nice car and would love to get my hands on those brakes for my TT.Leather is abit much but.

Power Ford at Castle hill have a Demo FX6 mate on there lot at present.I think it has 17000km on it.They want about the same money as a new TT ghia. Might be worth a drive up there there as just up the road from you mate. Dont know what there service will be like as I parked my TT next to it for a look and nobody came over to see me at all for 10 minutes so I left.

You should see how you go with all the stuff you already mate. Flash box Injectors Air filter Modify original exhaust =250awkw. Anything more you will have modify cooler set up and start spending heaps.I think 250awkw is a relative safe power output that wont break anything unless you flog it. The TT is a really nice drive with these mods

Do you have the original Unichip or the Capa Flash box with your kit?.Unichip will just plug straight in if you still have it.Save you buying a flash box anyway. Exhaust wont fit/Maybe could use dump pipe.Standard exhaust is quite good from factory when modified. All the TTs I have seen modified with Injectors and standard exhaust debunged see easily 250awkw.Had mine this way now for over 2 years and no hassles.

Guys. Last week I was travelling in Castle Hill [NSW behind a silver TT with twin exhausts that looked really nice.Had 20 inch rims on it as well.Like to know who did the exhaust job. Does anybody know this guy or a member?.

Good luck mate with all your mods.Make sure you post some power figures and boost settings when you done. Also get your tuner if possible to track inlet air temp before and after.Do repeated runs as well to see what happens. My next step is a front mount IC but have to do some more research first.

. One thing that's interesting though is that some dude's been running low 11s and I don't think he's busted anything in the AWD system yet? He'd be running a lot more power than I would. I think if you do a search on this site somewhere mate that car has broken something in his transfer case. Then again you need people to explore the boundries of power for these cars.All the better for everybody else.Who would of thought back in 2003 that the inline 6 T would be getting over 500rwkw in a street car?.Just amazing what some people are doing these days.
