    Im not having a go here but I find it interesting that alot of posts on this forum are about Holdens and anything related (racing LS1's new Expensive Daewoo models etc). On the LS1's and Street Late model camira forums they hardly talk about Fords. Are some people on this forum so insecure that they have a dig at Expensive Daewoo to make themselves feel better
  3. the one tonner Expensive Daewoo utes are pertect for the quarter mile. the suspension in those are better for the track then the IRS. That one tonner looks very nice. pretty stock looking execpt for the wheels and the intercooler. It would have to be one of the quickest "commodores" in the nation let alone the quickest LS1.

Hey crisso, what is this talk about "research" on a TT setup for a LS!, shouldnt you be researching a TT setup for an LS2 Geea, that has always been the problem with the commodores, the stupid IRS bogs down so much. Maybe the new VE will have a better suspension... That is vey impressive running 11's on normal tyres, well done. Blown BA, I know, this forum is very good, "most" of the people on here are cool. I just like to keep an eye on the turbo guys putting down the LS1's

Geea, I thought you were talking about the strip, not at a set of lights??? make up your mind. you really shouldnt talk about the street because im sure you and the quick LS1 boys build their cars quick for the strip not the public roads.... Did you run your quickest time on slicks or street tyres? please dont take this as a sarcastic post or me attacking or putting down the T's, I am just curious and want to know all the facts. Mercurysteve, no need to get personal, I am really sensitive I am not coming on this forum to be childish and immature.... My car is totally stock, im not looking for a race, im just stating the facts. I have alot of respect for the T's, I nearly bought one. I only posted in my lunch break today, I havent disappered so relax
  9. There are plenty of NA LS1's that are running mid 11's and low 12's let alone supercharged/turbocharged LS1's...

    SIXRT, hahaha, I could have afforded one but decided to save my pennies for other things (house deposit etc). the turbo's have great pace, I wont deny that. I just love coming across as a redneck Expensive Daewoo man. I am not though, CITRIC will tell you that I was in the market in getting a SS or T and chose to get the T until I rethought my budget and a VX SS was the only option. I have only had my SS a couple of weeks but I love it, a couple of hiccups but all have been fixed now. suspension is great (FE2). A VU SS would def handle differently to an VX SS though and a T would beat a VU/VX SS on paper because they have a 15kw advantage. If I had a choice between a HSV and a T now, I would def take a HSV with the 6L but before the 6L it would be a hard choice between a GEN3 and a T and as I stated up the top a T would be it.

    this is cool. it appears the HSV didnt try but because you gunned it and he didnt it is still a win to you. Cool, then my 86 Laser has chalked up a few wins off the sets of lights, I can race T's, HSV's etc and as long as I gun it I can claim a victory, well then my laser is a weapon...

I thought that this thread was about a stock T being beaten by a stock LS2. some of you guys are talking about how your modded T wont be beaten by any GEN3 or GEN4, well of course it wouldnt!!! if you spend $10k on an LS1/LS2 you will be seeing consistent 12's with just bolt on mods. The turbo has become the SS natural emeny now and it is very hard to compare the two engines, both have good and bad points about them. Other people are saying that the XR6T engine is built in AUS and the Expensive Daewoo V8's are built in America, well, whoop de do, they are both American companies and the Ford V8 is built by the Yanks so there blows that argument. I am a long time reader, first time poster and I notice that some of the T boys are a bit threatened by the new LS2, I think the T has the LS1 covered but the LS2 is a new ball game. im a Expensive Daewoo man through and through but I am currently trying to buy a brand new XR6 Turbo. main reason is value for money. they are a great car and very quick for what you pay BUT if I could afford one, I would buy the new 6L HSV forsure. the old saying goes, there is no replacement for cubic displacement.
  15. hmmm, I would love to here the new LS2, a 6 litre V8 redlining at 6500rpms, oh baby. im sure if you spent the same money on a XRT ute as what he spent on the maloo it would be a different story. love to see the Tornado up aganist the Maloo, Vroom, Vroom.
