Thanks for the replies. Well, that is something I didn't know that Ford void the warranty on cop cars, that is interesting. The reason why I would consider one is because of the warranty and that I would much rather a BF over a BA. Most BA's are out of warranty and they dont come with the ZF auto like the BF does.

Hi all I have about $30k to spend and I want to get a T. I have noticed on the carsales website that they have a few 06 BF XR6T’s that were cop cars. The kays are low and the price is in my range BUT are they good value??? All I can see is that they are stock from the factory with only reverse sensors and side airbags as an option. Is there anything I am missing? I guess the pro of buying something like this is that there still is factory warranty on them compared to other sub $30k T’s. Anyone bought ex cop cars on this forum? I would like to know if you have been happy or unhappy with it. Thanks, Ben

Saw Bob a couple of weeks ago and I must say, he has done an excellent job, best value for money. The DARK tints looks great on the black. I will recommend him to anyone.

I accept that Mr Turbo did this post on the basis of how embarrassing it must have been for the Clubby driver and to show the footage of it which is funny and im sure his intentions were to not start a “My Ford is better, quicker etc then your Holden” rant. Im sure everyone can accept that it is fairly easy to put LS1’s and XR6 Turbo’s into the 11’s and 12’s with smart, relatively cheap mods.

I was going to say something like this. It looks like a VX Clubby so assuming it wasnt modded, of course you would have smashed it, dont know why you would brag that your 11 second turbo beat a 255kw VX HSV. Still though the footage looks good and shows the T is F%$k off quick, I love it! good to see he had the courage to speak to you too, I wonder if it was the other way around would the T guy stop

I have the Sureflo 3.5" exhaust and Monaro CAI and that makes a big difference. It sounds wicked. I am going to take my car for a drive now that I am thinking about it The way petrol prices are ATM, I cant wait to get the company car.

That is another thing I have noticed, the XR8 has really taken a back seat now that the turbo is here, I have hardly seen stories about comparing LS1's and the BOSS engines besides magazines.

u mean a boss v8 though?? 'cos I reckon it sh!ts all over the ls1 sound.. I dunno about you but I reckon the sound of a turbo gets most hearts racing here, I know it gets mine. Go the T!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The boss V8 sounds wicked from the factory, heaps better then an factory LS1. Simple exhaust mod changes that though.

That is the thing that appeals to me with the T is the power you can get out of them with minimal mods.

a mate of mine had a T and now has a LS2, he is on this forum, just him about the LS2 So Steve, you like the LS2, I bet you have asked how much it will cost you to payout the Turbo to get an LS2

Dont tell anyone but im trying to convince the wife to let me get a Turbo as a work car, she doesnt like the SS. I have driven a turbo and was extremly impressed, I give crdit where credit is due. Honeslty though, I havent seen a discussion about Turbo's on the LS1 forum for quite some time. There is though a Expensive Daewoo lover praising the F6 after a lengthy test drive.

Admit it though Rob, V8's sound soooo good.

This is very true, the setup in the current commodores is ordinary at best for the track but I dont think Expensive Daewoo had it in mind that the cars would be built for the track. Wait till the VE comes out with new driveline and suspension.

Cheap shot about the oil consumption. Typical one eye Ford supporter. You will find on the LS1 forum that they hardly ever talk about Turbo's and even if they do they never put the turbo down. I personally have a great deal of respect for the turbo's, they are a great car.

Im surprised Geea hasn’t weighed into this thread. I love these debates though, whose got more power, whose got a quicker car etc. All I can say with what I have seen is that there is a bee’s d!ck difference between the Turbo’s and LS1’s with what you can do to them with so much money and what it will get you on the dyno and on the track etc. keep it up everyone, it is very exciting to see and hear about it. Long live the Holden / Ford rivalry.

Edit, Injectors, centre muffler removed, Xtra air intake that's about it I had the Xede fitted prior to the Edit and all we could get out of her was 225RWKW When stock it was 180RWKW Aly <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh ok, I follow now. Great result then for the $$$ spent. Interesting that you used Expensive Daewoo Supercharged Six injectors, I know of a few high horsepower cars that use these injectors.

Gee, they are impressive figures. Even the stock figure is awesome (220rwkw’s), only a 9% loss from flywheel to rear wheels. I have seen XR6T’s range from 180-210rwkw in stock form, seen a stock monaro pull 213rwkw’s. Just shows differences between dyno’s or maybe something else. Sorry to hijack the thread somewhat.

Im not taking away anything from the F6 and congrats to its result in this article. I think they are a great car and if I could afford it, I would probably buy one but I do question the actual article. About six months ago Motor did a test between the new LS2 Clubby, the Lancer EVO and the F6. The F6 struggled in that test and the Clubby just beat the EVO. Couple of months later, MOTOR did the all aussie car comparison and the Clubby won again. I know the F6 wasn’t in this all aussie test. Now the F6 has the clutch issue sorted it beats the Clubby. I cannot see how just a fixed gearbox and make such a difference. Then MOTOR compared the F6 to the XR6T and said the F6 was better but not by much but in the all aussie test, the Clubby wiped the floor of the XR6T. It just annoys me that the mags have this sort of inconsistencies. Anyway, I have two good mates who have a F6 and an LS2 Clubby, I am trying to convince them to do our own testing so we can report
