Hi again:} I think the love affair with the useless 2 door ute is ridiculous.I hate em.Afamily man with a small business needs a lockable back boot ...not those *beep* footing canopies on the utes.Seriously think about it ,sure there are ALOT OF XR6T sedans but for all round usability the station wagon has it all. 1 FAMILY CAR 2 HOLIDAY CAR 3 WORK CAR Cant do that with a ute!!!! tools in the tray waiting for thieves....not for me.Wake up ford!!! There was a time where my dad had a 351 xc gs station wagon(5.8 litres)..it looked great and went like the powers of piss!!! Dont get me wrong the sedans and utes have their place but the station wagon will always be king!!!

Yesterday I replaced the au brakes and discs.They were cactus...My rear drivers brakes made alot of noise.I ripped off the disk only to find the handbrake shoe had not gone into place.This is the cause of much grief.Sounds like they work themselves into a less than favourable position.Try some brake cleaner into the discs and see if temporarily goes away.If it comes back you know whats happening

I walked into a ford dealership here in the Smithfield area with 55000 dollars in a suitcase (literally)and because I was in worker clothes ..they didnt batter an eyelid.I wanted an XR6 TURBO BADD. After walking around looking at the cars for a few minutes it occured to me that because I looked like average joe.. Peter Warren dealer must have thought that I was not good enough or that I was just a no hoper .I have since learned that all Ford dealers here in Sydney are part of the rjv group or some crap name like that.Also Ihave found that you can make substantial savings by going say to Newcastle ford dealers not of this group.As for te 55000 dollars I threw them into my home loan.Now drive an AU falcon from a nissan dealer:}This has been a sore point for me that we should be treated this way.I still think of those sales people,and how they were wasting their time and revelling in their self importance .If they are reading this forum I have no regrets for posting this message.GET A LIFE

NAVSAT IS A PAIN TO INSTALL.YOU CAN GET THE PDAS WITH A NICE HOLDER TO SUIT THE CAR IN MANY INSTANCES I KNOW PEOPLE THTA DO THEM ,BUT CANNOT ADVERISE THEM BECAUSE OF FORUM RESTRICTIONS.....Blaupunkt navigation system louder than the sound system...I dont think so..To swap over you must locate speed sensing wires toget accurate readings on most navigation systems.Pda does away with all that.....and if you decide to fly far away in australia its not such a bib issue to turf it in your pocket and even a hire car

Benny...sounds like a power steering rack may be out of whack!!!!!Loose bolt make this noise ..so too suspension parts such as ball joints ..or shockies ,dont wait sounds unsafe.Wha if its your brakes???!!!

Just wondering ..Ihave just changed inlet tubing from my air box to the throttle body to a wider diameter.I took it for a drive and It didnt give me neck snapping performance.The tubing is air inlet ducting from repco.It does away with all the small bottle necks and restrictions ,except forthe standard air box.It also as a v8 air snorkel .When I took all tubing off and went up the road with exposed throttle body it was fishtailing all the way.Can anyone tell me why.It is normally aspirated.The tubing is ribbed....does this make a difference to atomisation from injectors??Would smooth rampod type tubing material be better..will it flow better???Or do away with standard air box and stick a rampod on??If I do this I would be looking at cold air positioning .Away from standard.It is an AU but I do imagine that the same rules for tubing wouldapply to forced induction air streaming.If you guys an help I d really appreciate it...

The handbrake cutoff is required as an occupational health and safety feature so that you do not take your concentration off the road while watching tv and driving in work vehicles especially...its like driving with your phone to your ear its illegal and you can be fined for it.The same applies to computers as in for example NRMA or Telstra vans they have to have that feature as well cheers

Brake shudder,normally is a result of discs getting warped through usage AND sometimes your wheel bearings wearing a bit.Also wheel balance plays a big part.Hit a big curve and see what I mean ehheh:}

Hi spook , another option istead of cutting into your headrests is a roof mount dvd all in one player.It mount in the place of interior light and folds down .I htink they also have outputs to connect to this icc interface ive been hearing about.Ps where do ya get this icc interface??

Yep Iad a similar problem on my dearly departed eb falcon.I got out the wd-40 and sprayed the crap out off my steering wheel bearings underthe dash.The point I sprayed is right at the tubing which is where the sterring wheel is adjusted back and forth via the release lever.Ideally I would imagine that anew car would have been greased up properly by ford.Do get it checked properly though,the wd 40 was a temporary fix.ive it a try...

You can wire in aftermarket power window lifter to your existing power window switch.This willgive you automatic up.Problems arise when the window gets stuck half way up or down.The 2 major reasons for this is that battery voltage after a couple of months drops,thus cant support the force of the motor.The second reason is that as the door rubbers get older theylose their pliability andstart to stiffen up.This causes resistance and the windows get stuck. The remedyfor this is simply spray on some dry silicone lubricant to rubbers around window.The other problem is that most maufacturers use plastic gears in their power window motors ,which over time(you guessed it)wear away and eventually break .why dont they use titanium/bronze gears instead??

Hi I think you should check your intake manifold for water leaks into the cylinder.Alot of these run heater hoses on them.Another posibility is that any water jackets in the manifold may not be sealed by the newgasket properly.Try if you wish Im not a mechanic but a mechanical nut.Just some sugestions....

oh ps...if you do it yourself be carefull I have heard many horror stories of diy people .
