The AC in the Ford is(just plain) sh*t compared with other cars we have owned. Its alright,take a deep breathe It dosent matter a toss if you turn it from 22 to 19.5 if it makes no difference in the air tempature coming out the vent. If the air temp remains almost the same its a crap set up. Surely you dont think we are stupid enough not to have tried different settings to get it colder? If only you had told me earlier to turn it down and not up to get it cooler. THE AIR COMING OUT OF THE VENTS ON ANY SETTING ISNT COLD ENOUGH FOR A NEW MODERN CAR IN MY OPINION. AND OTHERS BY THE SOUNDS OF IT. The question was asked and we answered. I have always found forums to be a tad(TAB) annoying. There are some great ones where the advice is invaluable. Forums on Italian motorcyles, classic cars etc. But forums on modern cars with very little, if any issues (and dealing with the general public) are somewhat pointless. With major issues like, what colour do you like?, what about these tyres?, what colour are the dash lights? And priceless advice like, "'Drive in performance mode to get colder air con"(Man I hope you were joking) its a quick reminder why I stay away from them. So as I drive off into the sunset with my white hairy arse sticking out the window, I bid you fair well. I'm going back to the Benelli Forum. I will only get fired up here. I understand that, but the actual air coming out of the vents isnt cold enough. Therefore it takes too long to get a very hot car down to a comfortable temp. My Holdens air temp was freezing and would get the temp down on a 40 degree day very quickly and maintain it easily.So it is possible. As you can tell by the responses from this thread a lot of people agree, Fords AC isnt as good as it could be or as good as some others. Of course the setting is irrelevent. But the air temp from the AC in the Ford should be colder. But having said that, I bloody love this car and cant fault it.

Scathing? We are saying its just not cold enough. And compared to other cars Ive owned its a fair bit off the pace. If it was colder it means it dosent have to run as long to get the temp down and maintain it there. Therefore it would be more efficient and that's what being efficient means, it dosent have to work as hard to achieve its goal. It is also recommended in the manual to leave it in Auto mode all the time. Because modern ac systems are so efficient it has very little effect on economy. What is rocket surgery? Speaking of manual control. Why cant I turm my dash lights on when I want? And not when the car wants?

Its not bad(or good). It isnt as cold as my old VYSS. I havent had a day over 30 to test it yet. I reckon it will struggle a bit. I thought I would let you know I have recently switch from Expensive Daewoo to Ford! I'm not a full FOOORD!!! or Hoooolden!!!! sort of bloke, they have both had good cars over the years. But on average I have prefered Holdens. Not anymore. I traded the wifes SV6 in on a Terriorty Ghia(what an awesome car) in July and my SS Crewman in two weeks ago on a GE6T 50th Edge. What a brilliant car!! Amazing motor, as you all know I'm sure. It was parked next to a Calais and Statesman in a car park the other day and It made them look sh*t. Bloody plain and boring. The chrome is the key. Old school. Anyway, I've moved to the ''Dark Side" and love it. Go Foooorrrddd!!!!! Mondeo better than Cruze. Terriorty better than Captiva. Falcon better Commondore. Focus better than anything.

I got it going today no worries, it was easy to find and plug in. Now I have to learn how to use it!! You live and learn, I've never had a nav, so wasn't aware the sd card was even needed. The next challenge is keeping my license. Man, this thing pulls hard. The power is so linear and smooth. Love it.

Yes, it comes stock in the 50th model. I got the Sat Nav booklet, CD rom ,sd card and remote. They just didnt install it. Not good I know. If I just knew where to slot it in, I'd be right. The sat nav wont fire up with out it.

Hi, Newbie here. Picked up my new G6E Turbo 50th today. What a friggin great car! Traded in a Crewman SS. The turbo floggs it. Amazing power. Sooo quick. They didnt install the sd card for the sat nav. I rang the dealer and was told it could go under either seat or somewhere under the dash?!(it was the salesman) I cant see where. I can drop in Monday and get it put in, but I want it going now. Anyone one know where it goes? I'm sure there would a be a thread on here about it, but that's what you blokes are for! Cheers.
