if it goes when clutch depressed then I'd say defo thrust bearing.. mines isnt that quiet either but its a manual thing ! used to have one that squealed if I let it out too slow ! so just dumedp it all the time ! I will be changing our oil to something decent when it goes in for service..currently at 2600klms and goes in next saturday to Q ford in springwood ! actually, I wonder exactly what they do for that service ? our oil is spotless but I suspect it may be a mineral oil for the first 3k klms ?

seems to be that I am not as weird as the head teacher might be thinking.. I find it wrong for a teacher to be at the point of name calling to kids and to wear budge smugglers to a kids school holiday camp is just plain wrong ..I'll be seeing them monday afternoon so he better have excuses or I am going to call him fat and baldy and see where he would like to take that !

Would you consider it ok for a teacher to be calling your 10yr old daughter names (ranga)? and also, is it ok in Oz for teachers to wear budgie smugglers while swimming with a class full of 10yr old girls ?? Am I weird or is that strange ?? Have voiced my concerns with the head teacher and he says its not uncommon and not considered weird.. head teacher compared it to a woman teacher wearing a bikini and I said no, more like a G banger ! he kind of agreed after that , your thoughts please on both the name calling and the pool attire or lack of it !

well there you go, seems that could be the possible reason hence my question ! mate used to keep a 1/2L more in his skyline gtr after fitting 6 pots as the thing used to lose oil pressure...worth looking into ! I doubt it would cause any harm and possibly prevent your problem ! either that or drive up and reverse out ?

ours has pinged a couple of times when wife has reversed up the drive(ALMOST STALLED) ! too low revs and manual were her enemy and caused it ! not heard a knock at all . Is your oil level ok ?? has it always done it ? when was oil changed last and what was used ?

there's plenty of spool noise in our FG too ! love it ! some goodies after the ford 3k service shall enhance it even more ! the wife hasn't seen under the bonnet so wouldnt know if anything was changed !
