Mate I had my old stock cat taken out of my xr6 turbo whe I got my hi flow installed but I forgot to ask for it back... sorry

Nah dude just take the coil packs out and let em dry. I did the same thign on my 180sx as you have and had the same problem. leave it overnight should be happy days

You probably didnt hit limiter it may have been the t/c kicking in because it makes the same kinda burble noise that can be mistaken for limiter

Yeah I think it was more coz when she backed off all the petrol would of gone to the front of the tank, then she got back on it and it woulda just slammed to the back of the tank and there was nothing for the pump to pickup. All good

Okay thanks mick !! Normally anything under 1/2 I wont even give the car any but on this occasion she decided it was a good idea to give it some infront of an ss lol. I think it may of happened because 1st gear started spinning so she backed off clicked into 2nd and then went again so maybe the jolting of the on and off moved the fuel away from the pickup. But ill fillup and let you know !!

Today the missus was driving my car and she went to takeoff from the lights and gave it a bit and the car just had over 1/4 of a tank and it surged made the same popping it does when t/c kicks in only tc was off. Car is tuned to 278rwkw. As soon as it happened she backed off and everything seems fine but I just check can this happen and cause no damage ?

As previously said, get a cooler and decent intake. Also your tuner will most likley install a hi flow thermostat and adjust the thermo fans if you get it tuned. I had mine tuned and now it bearly moved above 1/4 and im using the std cooler

if you REALLLY never wanted them to come off and never needed to take the turbo or manifold off you could tac weld em on lol. and then if u did needa take em off.. grinder time :D

Went for a drive last night. Green Xr8 plates P4SSNU went to run me. Sorry mate but the plates shouldnt be on that car lol. Then he followed me through the dandys aswell.

I was there from 9:30 - 12. And never once did I see any of u kents lol. Only xr6 T I saw was slammed on chromies, with a sunroof and blue in color !
