Yes I saw that one. Pretty average decision. Doesn't matter much though I hope, they look to be on the ropes..

Nice to see someone else hates Pietersen. ARROGENT wa*ker! Hope Lee knocks his block off in the 2nd innings.
  3. Wow. You don't hear about the original 10.98 record being broken for ages, then every week someone is lowering the mark again and again. Can only imagine what it would be like creeping sideways at half track.. Great stuff mate and best of luck with the 9 second pass.
  4. ditto here 2 Except I can see outside how cold it is atm....I stay inside in my nice cumfy chair watching tv and surfing the net.....oh yeah...and I take some calls 2!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> pitty u cant see your car from inside <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Call of the year!
  5. Not wishing to insult your intelligence, but was it the rev limiter? The first time I hit it in mine I thought I had broken something as it just goes BOOM! and drops the revs and slows the car. Its not the traditional style limiter where you can bounce off it. Its probably something else.. I am not sure.

Well done mate, that is seriously fast!
  7. Hi everyone, On Thursday this week I bought a silver EL Fairmont and traded the XR6T in. It was fun while it lasted and a great car, but I have some different goals to save for in the next 3 to 4 years. Plus my work may not be around in a few years. They began laying people off 2 months ago now because the Adelaide press can't compete with plants from China and South Africa that print the same thing for far less money. It's actually cheaper for them to print items overseas and ship them here. that's the sad reality. Over the 16 months I had the T it was a bloody great car and I had a lot of fun and met some great people and did some great stuff like drag racing and cruising with all of you. Sad to see it go but at the same time glad to be out of debt and now I able to concentrate 100% on saving cash for a house deposit. I will still be around with the old man no doubt on cruises and that so see you when I see you! Cheers
  8. Really? Would that be a sunday arvo? Wouldn't mind having another crack at a PB in cooler conditions.. If it happens I would be 90% sure I would go.
  9. Sorry I have to bail! I have been invited to a golf day thru work.. this happens once in a blue moon so sorry guys.. I only found out today.. If it is raining though I will not bother with it and come on the cruise. So time will tell.
  10. I bought mine when I was 20. I never thought I would be able to afford one at that age, but I got lucky and found an excellent paying job and became an adult apprentice. Because of the overtime factor I could afford to buy the car without any dramas. But now I am turning 22 soon and I am starting to look to the future. I am thinking of selling up and saving for a house deposit. If you are young and can afford a car like that why not get one? I have had the time of my life in my XR6T! I have met people from this forum, I have gone on cruises, drag raced a few times etc etc.. the list goes on. All bloody good fun that a young bloke should enjoy. If I had my time again would I go back to that fatefull day and sign the paper again? TOO BLOODY RIGHT I WOULD!!!! The amount of fun I have had with my car is something I will remember forever. Now I feel its time for other things in life, but at least I can look back in a few years and say I 'owned one of those once' and think back to all the great stuff I did with the car and smile...

I had my old EF Fairmont Ghia insured with Swann and they were snakes. I was told I could perform three mods to my car. So they were sound system, exhaust and lowering. I rang them each time and told them what I had done and even faxed receipts to them so they knew everything had been done by a qualified mechanic. Then all of a sudden I was informed via phone call that 'our policy has changed' and I have to return the car to stock or the premium would go up...!? that's when I switched to Just Cars. I have had two not at fault claims with them with my XR6T and they have been pretty good I have to say. Both times they were quick in getting the car fixed and let me take it to my choice of repairer. Give them a go maybe!
  12. Can't you just appoint Al as the cruise dude? I mean its better him than no one! I voted for him! Edit: Oh, yeah, go Webber this weekend!
  13. I can't even believe people compare the two. There is no comparision. The Skyline is built for the track and the XR6T is built with the taxi market in mind plus to cart families around! And if people believe they have dragged of GT-Rs your dreaming. They are just too quick off the line, in a straight line, in corners and out of corners. Stock GTS-T is no problem, been there done that, but a GT-R, you got no hope unless the bloke pedalling it is a stooge or one of the turbos has fallen off! Please don't make yourselves look like fools by putting down one of the greatest cars ever built just because it is Japanese... I used to bag the Jap scene but I have driven a few modified and non modified jap cars now and respect them. Drive one before you comment on them!
  14. Sounds good to me as well.
  15. 19th is one day away from my B day, so I think I might be out on the town a bit late on the saturday night, so I don't think I would pull up to well for a cruise on Sunday! Any other time would be fine.
  16. I think it will get too scary and uncontrolable at 250km/h. It feels bad enough at 230!
  17. Great time mate! Mine ran a 13.84@101MPH completely stock as well at Adelaide International Raceway. Quickest I have heard about is a high 13.6 or 13.7. I would say mine has a 13.7 in it as that was my first time I went drag racing and I still wasn't sure what was going on and how to launch, plus it was about 17 degrees. Would love to get it out on a freezing cold night.

    Top effort mate! WELL DONE!
  19. The first two are a certain member called Boost 6. He loves to put on a show! The last is me.
  20. Might I say shifty, bloody good show! Pity no one got it on film!
  21. Great pics! Anymore of people's *ahem* traction loss due to excess dust on the road?
  22. Good on him, there is plenty more where that come from I feel. But you could see he felt stooged because Williams let Heidfield come in first so he got 2nd place. But, he still had to pass Alonso for 2nd so well done to Nick. He is going a lot better than a lot of people expected I believe.
