Will Ford change the screen and clean it for you as part of servficing? Or will they just botch it up and charge you accordingly..? Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just replace the oil filter more often and clean the screen every...say 50,000km?

Fair enough... I'll just get used to it... a small price to pay for what is one hell of a car. Either way, everyone loves the colour, and its great to have something different to the billions of blue and silver xrs out there. It is still poor quality control. When it came to choosing the colours, this should have been tested by Ford for mismatching before approval for use. that's controlling quality.

Yep, it is a generic tune, however I called C&V and mentioned the PSI/AF ratio etc, and they believe it would be safe on the stock injectors. It has been dynoed after it was tuned to check the figures, and the AF ratio seems fine even with the peak. Do the BF2 engines (its after the 06/06 build date so better internals) also have better injectors over previous models?

Yep, I saw it before I purchased it, and hated it, but the rest of the car lured me in... especially when I drove it. Everything else is wonderful. It can only be seen up close, and not many people can notice it unless pointed out. I was banking on Fraud maybe fixing it... was wondering if anyone else has managed to get ford to actually fix it.

hahaha! I knew that answer would come MY father imparted in me a perfectionist approach to rattles, sqeaks, any noises.... I wish he didn't.. I know the clutch wont last long at these levels, its such a cranky bugger... it seems to always fight with the gear box... I just have to take it easy until the minister for war and finance agrees... you see, she doesn't know that it slips, she doesnt know that its been tuned :D and as its so new, she doesn't understand why it would need a new clutch already :D I'll be in trouble! What would be the symptoms of a cracked diff bush?

I have a C&V Tuned capa flash box for the bf2. On the 10psi tune, it will initially peak boost to 13 psi @ 3000-3300rpm before trailing back to 10. It was checked on the dyno by the previous owner to ensure the af ratio was correct (came in around 12.7) however I was under the impression the std injectors would not be able to provide enough fuel for the short 13psi peak. ALthough, the car does pull very very well without hesitation. The clutch doesn't agree though Will this setup be safe? Or should I invest in new injectors for peace of mind? I would need another tune though...

Paint Mismatch. Any panel that is plastic (door handles, front and rear bars, door strips, spoiler) are all a different colour to the sheet metal... my bf2 is in seduce, and it looks fine in any light other than full sun or fluro... and it drives me mad. Whats interesting is, the metallic gold fleck throught the paint reflects differently on the plastic panels, I.e you can bend down and look from a different angle and there is no difference. MY question is, have you had these problems, and did Fraud resray those panels under warranty? How these cars are signed off through QC makes me wonder...

Hi All, Just recently purchased a late 06 bf2 turbo manual C&V Tuned to 251rwkw with 40,000kms. All is standard except for the airbox and tune. Just some questions as I am new to Fords.... 1. At very low speeds, ie first gear take offs, the first 1-2k rpm there is a slight vibration that feels like the tailshaft, its is more noticable under heavy acceleration. Normal? 2. T56... great strong box, however it sounds like its full of marbles... now, im very picky, its a very quiet sound, you can only hear it at low speeds, no radio etc... I assume its normal? Any oil that will silence it? 3. Rear suspension... Mine is on FPV 19" rims, and low speeds over rough surfaces, you can hear (again very quiet) suspension noises like something is floating around in the boot..almost sounds like the strut tops are stuffed but they're not, normal? I'm very picky... I hear things no one else can.. 4. Clutch.. Its the standard clutch, and it slips in 5th and 6th gears climbing hills at WOT only when the turbo overboost to 14psi and before it trails back to 10... That would be normal, and Im not worried, although I did notice that you have to be smooth on all changes or you will hear and feel it complaining though the gear box... normal? 5. The worst thing!!! Different coloured bumpers, door handles, door strips to the sheet metal Its in Seduce... and looks great in any other light than full sun or fluro... Will Ford respray the panels as a warranty item? These are very minor things to what is a fantastic car, I am overly picky, and these things would probably not bother any normal human being. Any insight or help is appreciated.

Don't sell. Give up other luxuries first. Why? Because you will regret it every time you drive your cheaper car...you won't save that much money, especially if you go to a BA xr6t... You have got what you always wanted, now adjust your lifestyle to suit it!!! Work smarter, not harder.

So, how long will these plugs last? As long as the standard ones?

Also, yanks are shockinig designers...the cars are ugly, and underpinned by acient suspension... if only Ford bosses from the North would drive a falcon around for a few months...We are very lucky to have these XRs....get them before they are axed. As for the coupe, a fair bit of development would need to go into one. That one pictured on the last page just looks like a falcon from the rear, no distinguishing features. Its ugly. It would have to have a nice swoopy roof line, meatier rear quarters, sleeker front end = too much money.

try setting your mp3 cd to only play certain songs according to your mood, or quickly flick to another artist without fumbling through folders, or update your cd in less than a minute when you download new songs, or take your cd out of the car and listen to it wherever you want.... I'll have an ipod any day of the week.

Congrats, best thing I ever did. And, I went from a old camry to a BF2 XR6T a year later! My wife loves the car :D What more could a man want?

I put up with an old (but hugely reliable) 94 v6 camry while I saved, and two years ago purchased a house. The equity just bought me an 07 BF2 Turbo :D Worth waiting for. Oh, and I'm 25 and married. So, yes, young, but spent all my money on a house, which then bought me the car.

Hi all, I just purchased an 07 BF2 Turbo manual, CV Tuned, typhoon 19s", apexi gauges, currently at 251rwkw on stock injectors, exhaust, internals, ic, and a typhoon airbox. Its enough for now until I get used to it... I have upgraded from a 94 v6 camry.... yes... it is a BIG difference, and Im loving it! Best decision I have made! See you guys around the forum. Will post some pics soon.
