I know that there have been many topics on this in the past. but has anyone taken delivery recently of a manual xr6t sedan or ute and gets a clunk soud from the rear when changing gears.... I only have 1500 km on hte clock and this is very annoying. (3 weeks old).. like I said I know this topic has been raised before... anyoneelse out there who has the same prob on a recent delivery, or did I get a dud??.. thought ford would of picked up there game... surely some of these ford guys read these forums and have realised that it is a major problem?? Not happy FORD... you can expect me in the dealership in the near future!!1
  4. just sold my 98 rex to get the xr6t ute (phantom, what other colours are there????).... I took delivery 3 weeks ago now and dont regret it a bit... after all only milk and juice comes in 2litres.... (take it from a full convert!!you just have to do it)
  5. no offence taken... not the steering wheel though.... they had the actual leather for the seat (shaped into the seat, not the steering wheel) hanging up in the dealership at darra. :banghead:
  6. Im on rating 3 paying $1420 live brisbane city through ford insurance to the rip off ins comps
  7. Was not the whole seat and did not ask too many questions.... appareantly this is something that momo is trying to promote through the dealers..... appareantly they will fit leather to your current seats in your favourite colour and you can mix and match
  8. Went down to the local dealer and noticed that you can order a leather seat package in your favourite colour.... dealer had examples of blood orange, phantomand citric acid (made by momo) does anyone know more about this and prices?????

sounds good but will you like it in the long run... maybe not!! do the following buy a FPV 1:18 diecast model... paint it blueprint and stripe it... stick it on your bedside table for a few weeks... If your start waking up with a headache toss the idea. and if not.. well its your car man do what you want!!! :banghead:

lucky bas*ard... Like one of the mags I was reading said, quote "Is that a bulge in your bonnet or are you just happy to blow the HSV of the dyno!!" enjoy the car... I know I would
  11. This exactly what I have.... the photo does not do the ding justice... these things are actually large.... and I agree this should not be happening on an extra of this price
  12. I have them on 4 locations....the larger ones appear where the struts are fitted and the smaller ones where the hinges are... mine have been theresince I picked it up a few weeks ago.. thereore cannot be due to excessive use of lid (which surely cant be possible as the car is only 3 weeks old).. maybe the colour enhances the dings, I dont know.... but will surely behitting the dealer up for a new one....
  13. thanks turbo6... am just curious as I have not run against any of these alternative vehicles!!!! for stock vehicles wheels lists 0-100 as follows xr6t- 6.77sec ss-6.71 sec maloo r8-6.37 sec obviously yours runs way beyond these figures...but I wonder how a stock standard one would go??? any one out there got any experiences??

mine has 1200km on it now and am also curious about the 3000km service/inspection.... will keep an eye on this post....
  15. will do... is a ford factory fitted harcover.... have been back to the dealer service centre who politely told me that this is the way they come out of the factory.. (yeah right!!!) I mean these dings are the size of oranges.... was then told that they will look at it on my 3000km service.
  16. gee thanks for that great bit of insight
  17. Just wanting to know who has run a against a ss or a maloo for that matter... and how did u go???
  18. Im the proud owner of a new xr6t ute (thanks to a great brother in law who got me a fantastic deal) and was wondering if anyone else out there has a problem with the hinges causing dings in the tonneau cover??... in certain light they are really noticeable. By the way sold my previous pride and joy ( a 98 wrx) to get this new beast and dont regret it a bit!!!
