lets go back to 2002 and the T5..... which cars were recording faster times stock??

so in all makes of turbo cars... are autos superior??? or is this something that you have come up with just from your xr6 turbo experience to date tab? as for the other with the FG.. it smashed the auto 0-100 which will make it a very interesting 1/4 with 2 capable drivers.... xr6_2001... to date when the cars are modded, the autos smash the manuals..... the biggest problem to date has been getting out of the hole. on a roll the modded manual will keep the modified auto auto honestl... but if there is a launch involved, your toast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! watch this space though.. as there are exciting times ahead for the manual people.... you know the guys that actually drive their cars!!

that was just a tune wasnt it?? he didnt have a set up at that stage with the revs set for the flat shift did he?? when are you going to the drags?? keen to see how the launch control works and what 60 foot times it will enable... and what times you run!! exciting times ahead

well done guys!!!!!!!!!! I had a similar thing on my manual a year and a half ago..... worked basically the same way... keep your foot flat to the floor and change gears... it did not rev out past the revs set in via the edit, and changing was a actually fun in this manner. have you guys done something better then the wog did when he was doing it? or is the flat shift very similar to what he was doing? if it is better in what way? the launch control is totally unchartered waters though and a big thumbs up on that one as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its times like these I wish the manual was still modified. good luck at the track!!

cool will keep an eye out..... you should easily pick up a 6 speed (dont get a 5 speed) with low k's for that price and still have cash for mods

cant say what it is but there was someone else sometime back that had the same issue (from this site)... cant remember who and what the outcome was.

for the boost thing...we were told that it commands 20% boost as for the driver error... tell steven johnson that

Steven Johnson, who done the demos, is an old friend of mine. He said that the Launch control is awesome.. After chatting to him, he said you need to ease the clutch a little but not ride it so to speak. Unless you have DSC on you can more dump the clutch and take out some of that skill required to launch the vehicle. He also said to the other V8 driver with the dark hair (dont know who he is) "have you tested the launch control yet? " its F**ken good, you can really feel the boost on take off" I was standing next to them when they had their chat. Big Al, We were never told what you guys got told about the launch control being faster with the DSC off. I think this will be confirmed soon when the new FGs start hitting the 1/4 mile. If that is the case, it will make it more driver oriented and a lot more interesting as its not just point and shoot. And I guess that's what its all about for manual drivers, the launch control feature will allow them to leave on boost to get that 60 foot down, whilst still requiring skill.

its not just the looks that have changed though... its got dsc, its got a better gearbox, its got launch control, aux input, the console sits higher and nicer... different suspension set up... extra clutch packs in the autos... its a TOTALLY different car to drive from the BF... I too didnt like the looks in photos... at the drive day it looked much better in the flesh.. its a big step up from the Bfs

go the manual mate... ive driven all the FG's (excluding fpv) and the manual is farking awesome!! that's my next purchase.... my auto is 10 months old now... im thinking of ways to tell the missus its trade in time!! what are my chances??
