  3. Happy Birthday kovac!

  4. Mine are replaced but I done the front and rear bushes with polly urathane but at the same time I replaced the shocks with adjustable coils the noise has stopped but the biggest thing I dont undrstand is how can you crack the tailshaft rubber housing with a stock car
  5. When I buy bearing for the car I always get them from cbc bearings never had an issue with their bearings
  6. My bf was making a similar noise I replaced the front right to find out the left bearing needed replacing aswell the bearings arnt expensive I payed $266 for the bearings and if your doing it urself ull need either a "1 1/2 or a 32 m socket and it is easy to replace
  7. I was also amazed that you didnt need to service the zf but from what I have fiund out is that it is also picky in how much oil is in the tranny if you either put too much or too little itll play up and the kit (plastic pan and accesories needed) will cost around $700 just for the kit from ford they said you only need to get it serviced when u have probs with them
  8. Slightly stiffer and when u go in a pot hole the car doesnt feel like it shifts u dont really notice it
  9. I had the same thing up untill about a week ago I replaced all the bushes front and rear ( poly urothane) and also changed adjustable coilover shocks and upper/ lower ball joints and the noise stopped I was told that its caused by the std bushes from ford that its not designed for the turbo models as it is to soft the whole set up cost me $3100
  10. This may sound like a noob but I was told that u can get a zf 6sp rebuilt with ceramic gears which hold more torque for $10,000 it doesnt sound right to me but has anyone else heard this
  11. I payef 1500 for the coil overs 500 fitted
  12. I am currently getting tein adjustable coil overs for 2000 fitted they are costing me 1500
  13. Mine does it aswell and I found that my tranny mounts were cracked and the tailshaft bush was shagged ford said that this could b thr fault ill find out when I replace it in about 3 weeks time
  14. It did seem to good to b true found that it wasnt repacing the lot only what needed to b done but I found a place in penrith that quoted $3300 ajustable coil over spring (not sure what brand) and poly urathane bushes front and rear tranny mounts tailshaft bush and ball joints
  15. I just recently replaced mine and it cost me $266 for the pair from cbc for my bf
  16. Both quotes were identical but the second one is basically mates rates. By doing this will it create more wear on the tires or basically the same.
  17. the quote was replacing all the bushes front to back, ball joints (front) gearbox mount, tailshaft, front/ rear rotors (apparently glazed disks are no good but good for shaving your face), shocks and 4 bearings according to pedders. my brother inlaws work just quoted me for the same thing for $3000
  18. Hi all Need to repair the bushes at the rear and front what are ppls oppinions about putting nolathane bushes I have been told that it's like driving a forklift with no give I will also b replacing my shocks to adjustable coil overs I know it'll b expensive and been quoted $7500 for the lot that's with nolathane bushes and shocks (coil overs) and labour
  19. When I think back to when the it mainly does it is when it's hot outside I have the aircon running so I think that could be it cause whe the temp is cooler outside it won't do it cheers rudiger for the info
  20. It's standard for now but planning to get it tuned It doesn't vary when u hit the go peddle. It does sound like an f1 when the revs hit around 4g and up but not as loud it basically started after the car reached at about 85k
  21. I finally got around to have a proper look at all the piping and found that the bolts were pretty loose but it still hasn't worked I havnt lost any psi it but it now starts at around 7 psi then drops to 5. I have noticed that the pipe that goes from the top of the intercooler isn't completely round it is flat at about 1/4 through could this be the issue
  22. its a hard 1 to explain I know that its supposed to make a shhhhh noise whilst spooling up but when it gets hot it starts off with the shhhhhh noise but at higher revs it starts howling mainly does it when the aircon is on and the blow off sound is louder aswell
  23. Hey all, I'm not sure if it's normal or not but when I have the aircon on and the temp needle is about half way the turbo starts howling when boosting up at 8 psi. But when the temp is between quarter to half without the zircon on it's the normal hissing sound and boost is around 5 psi. Ford recons it's normal even when I took it there while it's doing it anyone else have this or does it sounds like it's on the way out
  24. when I go over small bumps I have a thumping noise coming from the same side (left rear) it is a bit anoying I have taken it to ford they replaced all the bushes, shocks and springs thinking its that. it was gone for a bit but now its back. if I loose traction in the wet in 1st itll thud but if I loose traction in 2nd nothing its smooth (with either stabiltiy on or off). ford reconed it was axle hopping but if it's true wouldnt it do it regardless in what gear or what angle the rear is.

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

mine is a bit strange with the shudder it only does it if I have been heave with the brakes it will shudder but after a while it disappears without doing anything to it its like it fixes itself dont know what rotors are on the car (presuming its from factory) but I know that I use bendix ultimate pads.
