hi im more of a reader on the forum rather then a writer and im not really familiar with modifications an tuning of a car. I recently got a N/A 2003 model XR6 and want to convert it to a turbo. I just wanted to no all the parts required for this conversion, I would really appreciate it, if you guys could tell me all the parts required. any feedback will be greatly appreciated, thanks

adam, ive heard your car, no arguing its loud, but im assuming the power output an amount of boost your running, is the cause of such loud noise.

im not quite sure, but I think the BOV makes the fluttering noise, when acceleration pressure is released. So I assumed that, since in tip tronic u dont get your foot off the accelerator, there woudnt be a flutter.

hi, after deciding on the purchase of an xr6 turbo, is was jus wondering, if an auto T would make the same fluttering sound, from the blow off valve, as a manual T would, wen u are shifting gears through tip tronic mode ? if not, how would u actually make it flutter ?

hi, im not a regular forum user, but just recently ive had look at my tyres and I noticed they have cracked from the inside. It is a 2003 XR6 non turbo, on just over 24,000kms. if anyone has any info on this issue, or if anyone knows if ford do anything about it, e.g change tyres, any feedback will be appreciated. thanks, lev

hi. ive heard that some people are purchasing dvd players and are hooking the player straight to the premium sound screen. if anyone has done it, could you please tell me the process of completing it. what would I need to purchase to hook it up? is it just an adapter I need or more? thanks.

hi guys, I had a alot of time to have a look at the gauges and ive got to say, they look good, they give the car a more aggressive look I wreckon. even the Expensive Daewoo owners at ford, agreed that they look good.

There is never anything pretty about this kind of stuff and accidents like this should make motorists, especially P-platers to think twice about what they are doing on our roads. Hi guys, I finished work experience on friday, havent been able to have a look at the forums on the site becuase of my late nights. Getting to the point, on friday, last day of work experience, I see a purple looking typhoon, because I seen it before dont bother going next to it. later on I realise, it onli a two door, so me, quikcly run that way. Well its a nice car, wud be a very powerful UTE, and its got a nice hard top cover on it, which a massive FPV logo on it. My mate, which got me the work experience, which is an engineer has got a GT, and after him seeing the typhoon, his already got the GT up for sale. The typhoon and tornado are surely going to turn heads.

hi guys, as most of u would know by now, im doing work experience at F.M.C and yes ive got plenty of time to just walk around and do nothing. I was at the grill section today for a while an I realised that the fairmont top grill was chrome. the outlining of the grill is chrome an the middle sections where the badge is, is, close to being chrome. Ive meshed the bottom part of my front bumper silver, and was thinking of putting the fairmont grill on now. My XR is mercury silver by the way. Just wanted to know, what u blokes thought about this idea? I would appreciate some feedback on this. thanks guys

ye, work experience is going alrite fellas. im gona have a talk with one of the bosses, if I can bring a cam in and take pics, because if its not aloud (which I think it isnt) and I get busted, it wont be really good for me or my mate which helped me get in. today, a fully built typhoon came in to the factory for some tests and like you's would imagine, there was about 25 guys around it, in a matter or seconds. and what shocked but put a bigger grin on my face was, the typhoon had two gauges on the top section of the console. one guage for oil temp. and the other for boost. Hows that for an even sportier an tougher look? it sure put a smile on all the guys faces there. the typhoon is just sensational !

like ive written in other forums, ive been working at the ford factory for 2 days now and I just wanted to put my 2 sence about the typhoon. since im doing work experience there, ive got PLENTY of time to walk around and have a look at the cars and all. and today, I came across 2 typhoons. I had a close look at one of them, inside and out. I have to say, they are GORGEOUS cars. the interoir, dash board (FPV style in an XR), the minor adjustments to the centre console. its is just a beauty. if anyone was thinking of getting one an isnt sure, I guarantee you wont be disappointed with the purchase. Im hopefully going for a spin in one of em soon, so ill hopefully have more feedback then.

it was an N/A because it didnt have no turbo badge and just to make sure, I had a look at the front to see an intercooler, but there was none in sight.

well, ive been working at ford for 2 days now, and from what I have heard from the engineer's there, there is going to be a typhoon ute, its going to be called the tornado.

hi, if there is anyone out there which states that N/A are just a bunch of . I got a story dat will change your view on the N/A. saturday night, me an 3 mates are in a EL xr6, which is quite modified. the EL has extractors, cam timing, 3" exhaust, lowered, custome intake. very quick car. the driver of the EL I was in, decides to get smart to the black N/A next to us. well, first of all, we fly past him, then he decides to fly past. Once we get head to head, at around 65km/h, both cars gun it at the same time and victory for Ba N/A at speed over 120km/h. The EL was manual and it looked like the BA was auto. just fought I share the experience of losing to a N/A Ba with you all, and as a N/A Ba myself, I was cheerin for the BA. Go the N/A's.

well I dont know about that, but from what I have heard the 2005 range falcon will be REAR wheel drive and the stock in-line six will be 220kw at the engine. hows that for a change

hey guys, ive also read the article in the Wheel mag about the XR6 and the SV6, and from my understanding they like the new 5 speed auto, but I dont no why they dont mention anything about it in a negative way. Because if you look at the speed's done with the SV6, the car loses 20 or so kilometres and drops over 1700rpm's when it shifts into 5th gear. Just wondering why they havent mentioned this in the actual article. Expensive Daewoo trying to cover it up? any thought?
