all good well with all that bad stuff that happen to the car now for some good news after a long chat with the wife I now have a turbo upgrade a full 4" x force exhaust (still don't know how I got all that pass her) all just about fitted now then of to the dyno next week steve

the turbo just did a bearing and that was about 15000km after the work was done steve

we replace the oil pump with a Billet Oil Pump because it was the smart thing to do when the engine was getting work on and from what I have be told the cam phases and the computer where working O.T to keep it going steve

its a Manual what does add up I drop the car off it had fuel in it it was running like a dream get the car back very low on on fuel and was running like a pig the road test almost had a biff and yes the tester is a member on hear steve

they did it on down shift so the limiter don't work also I had customer of my ring on the day that it happen and gave me a spray for almost running him of the road then I told him that I didnt have the car that day and all this happen in a 50km/h zone the 114km/h was all he admitted to

I would like to give the guys at 4B a big thank you for all their help with my XR6 Turbo I have had a bit of bad luck with it in the last 3 months or so it all started when I booked the car in at the local ford dealer for new front struts when I drop the car off to them it had about 1/2 a tank of fuel in it and an average economy of 8l/100 but when I pick it up it was in the red but had only traveled about 10km and had over 30l/100 and on the way home it was running very ruff so I called the dealership back and spoke to them about the issues. Try as we might we couldn't get the fuel economy to come back down (and we had been used to about 5 - 600ks around town and 8-900ks on highway cycle) and then about 2 days later the engine light came on so I drove it to Joel for him to check the codes and guess what an over rev code showed up so I gave ford a ring for another chat and they asked me to pop in and have a chat with the servce manger, in that meeting he told me that the road tester had admitted to doing 114kmh in second gear so to cut a long story short the damage was a new head all the valves new timeing chain and oil pump cost about $4000 was I pissed they gave me the parts a cost and offer to do the laber for free like *beep* my car was going back to them so I got Joel to to all the work on it and the car did not miss a beat, even got it back to it's usual average fuel economy that was till the turbo die but that's part 2. part 2 Two weekends ago the turbo blow up and yes once againg Joel and Ben to the rescue they ordered me a new bigger turbo which I picked up today and the car is booked in for a new tune next week we are hoping for about 320 to 350 rwkw should be fun to drive then I can never recomend 4b's enough, they have beed so much help and they are sooo good at what they do. You can't beat them, weather it's your family car or your 4wd these boys can get you sorted. I had a new engine fitted to my ba xr8 under warrant there was no number on the block Knot ford stamp the same number on the new block that was on the old one steve

had to do my at 260rwkw as we had valve float steve

Kartman on the money that the same noise that my made when I loss 2 bolts from the turbo core get the car up on stands or on a hoist and have a look asap steve

did the gearbox at about 20000km with Castrol Transmax Z and yes the gearbox was quieter and smoother no I don't use standard plugs I do used the iridum plug they still break down and are cheaper then coil packs Steve

plug changed about every 10000km so that adds up to 42 steve

well the front struts are leaking ford told me that they will replace them under warrant for me but it will give me the same poor ride and handling I was thinking of going for some Pedders Sports Ryder eXtreme XA coilover has anyone got them that could give me some feedback please Steve

I just work out what servicing parts that I have used on my FG service ever 7500km car has about 74000km on it now and this is the work it had done 10 oil filters (about $15 each) 70lts of Nunlon oil (about $60for 6lts) 45 spark plugs (about $80 for 6) 7 fuel filters ($10 each) 1 KN air fiter service every 7500km ($90) 1 gearbox oil change ($120) 3 diff oil changes ($150) about 5 sets of tyres ( we replace them when they are at about 50%) cootant change x2 ($120) brake fluid change x 2 ($70) and I've not included thing like brakes clutch and the power upgrade steve

the Expensive Daewoo already has a front wheel 4 cylinder commordore in testing I beleave the ford will be a mix of awd and rear drive (bunna may know a bit more and im sure he will fill us all in in time ) as for the marketing team at Ford they ALL NEED TO BE SACK NOW sure a few of us on here could make a much better ad and get them on top of the sales steve
