my car has same noise, but the last two days its no longer only on idle, its very slightly there under normal driving too, much louder on startup. My mechanic had mentioned my manifold gasket was worn and it will need replacing soon, so im hoping this is the issue otherwise that two problems to fix, its going to the mechanic this week so I'll let you know. I dont expect a small bill considering all the bits need to come off. Ill keep you posted

no problem. was meaning there is no other option for a xdrill and slotted from DBA to suit the car without the wanky gold colour. if they crack and its early days one would think of sending them back like a frisbee.

dont really like the gold colour. agree and think its a bit wanky also. but do prefer xdrilled and slotted. so no real other option.

Looking at changing the rotors and pads. Have had a few places recommend Hawk Ceramic Pads which I have never heard of before. Doing a upgrade so will include 4 pot Brembos from an FPV, DBA42102XS rotors. Anyone used the Hawk Ceramic pads? Well do a fluid flush and replacement also. If not used Hawk before any experience with Ceramic pads at all?

Flash tune it and get it put on the dyno with a few mild mods and you will be laughing at commodores haha, boost comes on at 2k so its pretty hard not to drive it on boost Have fun in modding the car dude

260rwkws should definately beat a ve ss making more power at the wheels, I know its only a 4 speed but you should be running high 12's with that power like someone has mentioned previously

How much boost and no cooler?? Nice result none the less Did you get a torque reading?? must be very tough and strong

I dont think he is dissing the tune, but out of the box tunes are never perfect and it depends on the condition of the engine and car at the time, who knows even if the spark plugs were regapped to suit. A dyno tune isnt just to make sure the tune is suitable its to fault test the engine to see if anything needs to be repaired as not all our t's are in perfect condition prior to putting the capa flash on them. My 2 cents away

Everyone has their own opinion, but the truth of the matter is any small minor change you may think your making can lead to your car, leaning out and/or overboosting causing death to your engine and high engine wear. I would do any mods you may be thinking of doing now and get the car tuned, any decent tuner can explain to you this in detail. Generic tunes dont cut it either, spend the money to save your engine in the future.
