I love my Subarus... but nothing beats a nice sounding V8, expessially if it is supercharged or Turbocharged
  3. Don't worry mate, if it is just like NSW or VIC I believe it is only if you got your licence after a certain date (I am guessing when they make the law) it will apply...
  4. Speed needle is stuck at 100mph on impact... and it was a diesel! lol They were doing well to reach 100mph in a VW/Audi 1.9ltr Diesel in an area like that to wrap it around a tree... Could very well be set up!

The cummings dodge is a very strong engine. Only an inline 6 also unlike the V8's etc from GM and Ford. Holds its own very well.

True, if you abuse a WRX tranny it will not like it... however, the STi 5 speed in the pre-bugeye model are abit stronger and can take abit more (STi gearsets are a common mod for WRX owners) and the new STi 6 speed is one very strong unit. Gadiel's Big Valley STi from Puerto Rico is in the high 9's on a STOCK STi 6 speed. Also JUN in Japan run a stock STi 6 speed in their 650+hp time attack car. And of course. The STi in my sig will put down 550-600 @ the wheels on a stock 6 speed also

Wouldn't a chip be better? Seriously, there is ads all over TV on the weekend expessially on SPEED channel (24hr motorsports ) for the edit computer for all the diesel trucks... mk11tute, I just took a wild guess at what it could be. I have seen a few videos of some very quick trucks and your thread title made me think of it before I even opened it up. www.streetfire.com Have a quick look on that website. You might find the video then you can just link it.
  8. Eat, l figure that's probably more from reduced refining capacity around the Gulf Coast after Katrina than from the oil price, not sure though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that's what I was thinking, was just curious to see if prices there had raised dramticly also... Seems like this might be the case...
  9. In other words... something bloody quick What is the GT-P goodies you'd like to see on the F6?
  10. I am still trying to figure out why N.O was built so close to the coastline yet below sea level. Asking for trouble. Is a real big mess over there. That oil rig got absolutely hammered! Question on petrol prices... in the past few days our prices here in NJ have shot up nearly $1/gallon more (now around US$3.30/gallon, was $2.40). Have you guys seen a huge increase in just the past couple of days?
  11. What is it replacing? Territory or STi... Or will this be a 3rd car?

I am guessing it will be something to make you go in your pants Scotty. I suspect a Turbo Diesel F series scooting down the ¼ in 11 something...

Is that the video where the front wheel is in the air until like 250km/h then it just accelerates like a bat out of hell to around 400km/h? if so... If it isnt that video, please share... While this bike seems pretty cool in concept, I have seen someone riding it on TV, turning it looked very ummm... cant think of a word to describe it. It is a heavy thing too... needs the 500hp. Everytime I see it I think of a movie. Something like Arnie would ride in a Terminator movie
  16. Mercedes also has a simular concept now on a diesel engine. Although it is not using a supercharger + turbo. They are using simply two small turbos which give virtually no lag while one large huffer for top end is spooling up for the big hit. Imagine having that Toyota engine sitting under the bonnet of an old Corolla... Would suprise ALOT of people off the lights with it
  17. I have always had good results with the Bridgestone S-03's Exellent dry and wet weather traction
  18. eatV8 replied to XRT8U's topic in XR6 Turbo
Absolutely. My new carbon fibre bonnet is so light compared to the factory No to turn the rest of the car into carbon fibre :w00t: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you (or going to) sand it smooth and paint it or leaving it as is? Getting as much weight off the front end is exellent $$ spent as far as helping the car turn in better.
  19. Bio Diesel is renewable. I really see it having a future.
  20. I don't think he can hear you through his 4" Armour plating on his $250,000 Expensive Daewoo Statesman. Lumpy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL. his statesman is really armoured up? I find it amusing since he goes out on his walk in public (even though surrounded by security) every morning...
  21. I think they have their own oil fields. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is true. Is mensioned in that article. I garentee if Aust produced it's own also lil' Johnny would still slap on stupid taxes... probably even more taxes so it stays at the same price it is now...
  22. Petrol prices around the world. Found this on CNN/Money website. Australia isnt on the list, but I worked out that by Sydneys average price of $1.19ltr (which I found on some other website) that works out to about US$3.50-$3.60 a gallon. Price here in NJ is about $2.40 per gallon (80c a ltr aussie) while California is about $3.00 a gallon... It is just interesting to see some of the prices... like Venezuela who have to pay US$0.12 a gallon. Yes, that's not a typo, it is on the list... 12c a gallon! That is under like 7c aussie a litre!!
