  1. Go see Simon at XFT for tuning bud! What area do you live? I'll be finished work Sunday, keen to do a bit of cruising, I'm living NOR
  2. Not blarrrdy bad for a stocky! Be nice to see how these react to further tuning and an aftermarket exhaust
  3. I am curious to see if the 335 GT tramps with stock set up, my FPV dealer said there was revised suspension in the new GT. My manual FG F6 did tramp with stock power, it kept doing so with king springs and bilstein upgrade, it still tramped with 359kw.. and now it has finally appeared to have gone with some super pro bushes upgraded in the diff recommended by Pat at WSP. I am yet to give this a good working out to confirm it has gone entirely. I can comment on the GTS's set-up and tramping if the new E3 has similar MRC shocks/springs to previous models. My 2007 GTS Manual tramped WAAAAAAY worse than my stock F6 did in similar situations, got off the line easier but it also had less power and more rubber on the tail. Handling was better to my GTS in stock form but braking didn't come close to the FPV brembos. I am interested to see what people can do with the GT's in months to come, nice aftermarket exhausts, cam, tuning... fun times ahead
  4. It really just holds revs at 3500rpms and when you release clutch it has restricted boost/power for take off.. You have to work out the correct rate to release your clutch, too soon and you will fry the rears, ride it too much and you will cook your clutch and have that lovely burnt clutch smell! There is definitely an art to the method and it requires a bit of driver ability Personally I wouldn't use DCS with the launch control take off's I found my stock clutch (with stock F6 power at the time) useless after one launch and trying to back it up 3 minutes later.. Not sure if the XR6T's have the same clutch?
  5. That idle sounds mean! would love mine to sounds like that one day.. All the best with the 1/4 run, good to see someone having a crack with a manual.. I'll be checking back with anticipation
  6. I cant make it.. had to bring my work car to Perth to do some furniture moving Count me in for something soon though
  7. that's impressive kw at the wheels stock.. and 12 second time for the manual!
  8. Sound clip F6 Manta2.mov
  9. I didn't get the before run unfortunately I'm pretty sure it was on 16psi and then pulled back at higher rpms. It's going back to drop the oil and put full synthetic in, and some more fine tuning to see if there is more in it.. I thought it could of made a bit more but you never know - each engine is different to the next. From the start I have said I want this reliable, when I upgrade turbo and engine I'll go for numbers then. Mine at 1800-1900rpms makes some noise in the cabin but I wouldn't call it drone, could be the difference between auto and manual? maybe speak with Simon.. if you put it out two sides on the back and add an extra muffler it probably would fix that.
  10. +1 for the black cooler, one less thing to grab attention from the fuzz
  11. Fair play.. probably would of saved me a bit of coin in my build if I went Auto
  12. +1 for Air Con issues... ongoing.. Happened on the day I picked my brand new F6 up
  13. Sound clip to come, I need someone to record it.. the induction/wastegate noises kind of over power the exhaust in the cabin when Im driving Id like to see how your car responds to a system like this
  14. I know my car isn't an auto but I have had similar stuff happen when switching from DCS ON to DCS OFF.. gave it a bit in 1st with DCS off (straight after I switched it) and the computer was confused and cut power.. I thought WTF.. then try again and all good. Has happened a couple of times, but only randomly..
  15. Nice time, are you planning on running full synthetic oil?
  16. My F6 did it the day I picked it up (May 2010).. and got home :( They bled the air con system and it seemed to fix the problem until a few weeks ago, its there again - Air Con not working, it was working fine for the 1st hour of a 2 hour trip, then started to get warmer and warmer. My air con pipe from condenser to firewall gets COVERED in ice, not just a bit - FULLY FROSTED UP Thanks guys, I will quote the above and get it sorted.. They didnt mention ANY recall or HIM problems
  17. Here's a few exhaust pics Ben.. Haven't scraped it on anything yet, clearance is good! My old VE GTS had a twin system that scraped on everything - and it was standard ride height
  18. Manuals are fun.. give it a go
  19. Not true, King Springs and even Lovells will get you lower than that Im sure! There's a few pics on these forums floating around with lowered FG's, using King Springs SSL or SL. When you go a lower spring its recommended to go shorter shocks too, maybe that's what they were getting at with just the spring change? Have a look in Wholesale Suspensions on the forums, Pat's a good guy to chat to
  20. I got the day off and might make an appearance before driving back to Bunners Where to from Burswood?
  21. No pictures yet, I'll take a few on my days off and try get a sound clip or video for ya
  22. Can vouch for the twin 3" system.. GOOD!
  23. Exhaust sounds good.. I was concerned about drone as I do lots of highway driving and stressed it from the start, was assured the system would be ok and this one is sweet!
  24. Yeah.. learnt my lesson of doing things in seperate 'stages' South Costs ya more in the long run
  25. Yeah.. used to be a fan.. I did! But every-blaardy-thing has tail pipes out both sides now, seems to be the 'norm' so this is me being different..
