Geeseman the T is going in on Tuesday for a cleanup underneath I will take a full bevy of snaps then so everyone can have a look at the art. I will start a thread with them as soon as I get the pics done
I went for a 3.5 inch system with a magnaflo hi-flow resonator and a Jun-BL muffler. Its hand made here in Adelaide by Exhaust Technology who did the setups that was in conjunction with the CAPA syatems I think. Not cheap at the $1300 dollar mark but it sounds great ( fantastic for setting of car alarms in shopping centers ). It would look a little ricey but Mark did a great job of hiding it away under the body so now all you see is an octagonal/oval end tip that you can fit your whole arm up.
Mate Dont worry about that I havent come down in the last shower.. I am just passing on info that I have recieved to people on this thread who may have some interest im not saying that anything I have recieved is accurate or even reliable I will let everyone make their own judgements about that.
Seems normal to me. Every new car I have had stinks for a few thousand kays. I think its just all the sealants and sh*t burning off and everything bedding into place. But I may be wrong and im sure you will get more info from others in here. Mind you if the car suddenly fills with smoke then yourself and run
There is only one way to remove a factory fitted gear knob from a manual T. VICE GRIPS!!! I had mine replaced after they changed my boot around the shift and when I asked why they said they come so tight from factory that the only way was to use vice grips and due to the soft aluminium it damages it quite significantly But at least I have a SHINY NEW KNOB
Just got an email from Barry Batten the expected cost for the handheld unit is between $800 and $1000 (That is the cost for the unit to do the Edit not the cost to just have an Edit done) and the unit should allow full flexibility in tuning the BA including de-tuning the car if your selling. I would like to guess that it will work on series 2 when it is released as well
Must have been from melbourne.... A girl I know went through her own windscreen cause she was SMS'ing without a seatbelt on and ploughed into a stationary car. she saw it coming but had high heels on and couldnt hit the brakes properly
I was just driving home today up Nth East rd when I spotted a 4wd in the left lane drifting across into the right lane and then back again. Still a little way behind I decided to keep an eye on this long wheel base 2 ton beast. It crossed into the right lane once more without indicating before I caught up so I decided to slip past ASAP incase the driver decided to change lanes while I was beside. I dropped back a gear and slipped past to get out of the errant drivers way. As I looked into the cab as I drove past I saw- 3 small children in the back seat ( at least 1 un-restrained ) and a driver. And what was this mid 30's driver in charge of a large motor vehicle doing (beside changing lanes at random)? She was on her mobile phone without a handsfree AND Reading This is all at 60 km/h I mean seriously what the hell is she thinking... Maybe the car has Sat Nav and she thinks its like an auto pilot!!!
It looks that way. Barry said he will have 500 units in the country soon all de-bugged and ready to go. I accept that it might not be the best option for major modifiers but for people like me it might be just the ticket if it works well. Bearing in mind it will work on Fpv/ All XR's and standard BA's It will allow me to retune as I add new bits or alternately take bits away.. Like 3 meters of spare intercooler plumbing!! I will be definately looking to see how well it performs.
From Batten performance tuning. They are developing the Reflash unit for the Turbo. No need to piggy back the ECU just plug in and tune to your hearts content go here 4 a look http://www.norcom.net.au/~bpt/pr03.htm Maybe one of us could buy the handheld unit and we could share it round? That is if it works well.
