  1. I don't think we have done any runs twice yet For sure if anyone wants to cruise somewhere, just PM a suggestion and I will get things going, most cruises I have done have been from peoples suggestions. If your interested in orgainsed and event a Moderator will need to move the event to the Cruises and Events section for you, as we need to make sure it doesnt clash or cause any conflict on the forum.
  2. I didnt count the cars, or the amount of people that turned up, but it was HUGE. I hope the roads gave you all a bit of a challenge (but then again maybe just a little bit too much for some) . Thanks everyone for coming to cruise and making it one big day out. I'll have to make sure the carparks are bigger next time How do you make Turbo people run faster than their cars? Just throw a little lizzard at them.
  3. Maps will be handed out on Sunday. Can't wait to take you all there, it's going to be one hell of a drive

  6. For those that have asked which way are we going, I have the directions (I hope) From the McDonalds is at Engadine. We will be travelling South on the Princes hwy(Southern Fwy) till we reach Illawarra rd, where we'll turn right heading towards Albion Park. Continuing straight on the road becomes Terry st, which in turn becomes Jambaroo rd. We follow Jambaroo rd till we reach Jambaroo Mountain rd, where we turn right and follow the road up the mountain and continue along Jambaroo Mountain rd till we reach the Illawarra hwy at the Great Australian Pie shop where we turn left and head towards Roberston and left onto Pearsons Lane which takes us to Nowra-Mossvale Rd. We stay on Nowra-Mossvale rd, go over the Hampden Bridge and then a right hand turn onto Mt Scanzi rd which comes to a dead end at Tallowa Dam.
  7. One Post........and your coming on a cruise How good is that!!!!
  8. Actually I dont think my car is ugly at all. The AU is a good looking ute. And I still like looking at my ute, I love it :flowers:
  9. These Mustangs were designed by 'Mustang Owners' (I remember seeing a documentry ages ago) If I remember rightly, people were getting upset with Ford for not making it look like a Mustang. Look like they sure did change that. Must say they have done a good job, and it looks like a Mustang again 100%.
  10. We will be starting from Albion Park and going up Jamberoo Mountain Drive from there.
  11. Speed limiter, What speed limiter? Oh, you mean the one in the passenger seat?? Or, the slow BA XR6T in front??? :glad: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> YOur passenger ---------->
  12. I was in my B/Fs SS Ute, and I was not feeling the best, but then again it could be that Holdens make me si.....
  13. I am worried we are not all going to fit in the carpark at Maccas ?? _____ I tested the cruise today (for the 3rd time) and I just want warn everyone about the challenges of this cruise. There is a huge amount of cars going which is fantastic...but means we will have to be carefull. (more then we normally are). Jamberoo Moutain Drive: The 2nd half of this road gets crazy. Its only 1.5 lanes wide, twisty, bendy, scenic but loads of fun. You have to appreciate that there are other cars trying to share the road with you. Pearson's Lane This is another great road, good to drive on, it's hilly and bendy. This road is cut in two by a STOP SIGN. So please as your driving along, STOP at the stop sign or you'll end up nose first down a hillside into a cow paddock. Mt Skanzi Rd On this road its tempting to see if your speed limiter works . Its straight, with a few fast bends and you don't realise how hard your working your brakes. Genius here cooked her brakes and at the end of the run and they were not working real well and I am sure everyone could smell them. So please be carefull, have fun, there is a huge amount of cars on this run, so please I want everyone to go home in one piece. I will hand out maps and road warnings on the day. This cruise is not for those who get car sick, and passengers will need to hold on and close their eyes. :o

  18. There is nothing wrong with the AU ute. I have never ever had any problems with my car. (only power steering high pressure hose) It has 71,000km on the clock and is 3 years and 2 months old. It's a 5 speed manual. No brake problems, no gearbox problems, no engine problems at all - all still 100%. I have driven it to Melbourne twice, once to Phillip Island and once to Queensland. It's only been loaded twice. Once with 3 concrete blocks ( onya dad ) and the second time I had a two seater lounge, fridge and dressing table in the back. The load hardly made any difference. Engine - My car is more powerfull then the series one AU V8 by about 3kw and is only slightly less then the series two AU V8. My ute from the last dyno day was 149 rwKw. ( no chip, just extractors ). I honeslty don't know why people call them lemons. Yep she is ugly, but she goes well all the time, never missed a beat and I intend keeping her till the day she dies. She has been a good car to me.

  20. Thank no wind this time. Last time it rained which was about two weeks ago, I stuck my head outside and checked my car, OMG . I have a temporary carport that the wind was try to pick up and throw around, hail coming down the size of ping pong balls belting the top of it. Whats more important, me or the car?.... the CAR... oh must save the car!!! So I stood in the storm holding the carport down, getting wacked by hail, soaked by the rain, trying desperatley to hold the carport down, wind was getting stronger and stronger. I won, my car got no hail damage - no that's called love for you car One of the advantages from eating to much. I kept everything safe on the ground. It came in handy for something at last
  21. I got there at 2pm on the dot. A million people were already there. ( Strange as I thought it started at two). Couldn't see anything, it was 45degrees and getting hotter, stayed 20mins and went home... Should of just stayed home
  22. I saw this on the news and they said that this charge is because 4WD take up more space then other cars. A parking spot is a parking spot, whats the size of your vehicle got to do with it? They all get parked the same! Guess what.... My UTE is bigger then my dads 4WD Nissan Patrol......go figure.....its all money, that's all it is.
  23. Hi Scotty, I have had the AU XR (manual) for 3 years and have had no problems with it at all, untill 2 weeks ago, I had to change the Power Steering high pressure hose, other then that nothing. Strangely fuel economy is getting better the older the car gets . It uses roughly 13-14lts per 100km. Gas run utes, I have no idea. Really the only complaint I have is that the pedals are too far away and I have to sit closer to the steering wheel then I would like and the first ten times you get into the ute, you'll properbly wack your head on the door arch. Ones a FORD (power and style) the other is a Toyota (cardboard box on wheels), the choice is simple.
  24. What a Day?? FordXR6Turbo.com all locked up  .... EYE of Ken Inspecting the Gaol Annoying the Tour Guide Lord Cyric Where he should be Moving Down the Freeway
