Hi everyone, Got myself a good deal on a new F6, picking it up in 2 weeks. - 6 speed auto - 19 inch wheels - sunroof - leather - reverse sensors - 20% black window tint. for $62500 driveaway. I allowed myself $71k to lease a new car so I have $8500 to spend on mods - exterior and performance. I was going to spend a large part of that on a new custom bodykit (hence my post about selling the F6 kit), but I've recently had some doubts as to the quality of the end product. I'm not sure if I want my car to be the test mule and risk replacing it in a year or so - especially as the cost was around $5000. I want the car to be a little unique and a little quicker, but I don't want to break any records or gearboxes. I've been out of the modification scene for a year or so, and could use a little guidance from others as to what all my options are. Any suggestions on how to spend the additional $8500 to complete my new ride? Thanks in advance guys. Dave

I forgot to mention the rear bar is fitted with rear parking sensors which will have to go. So far I've had 5 people want the front bar, 4 wanting the rear bar and 2 interested in the entire kit. My preference would be to sell the whole kit, including skirts at a fair price. I'm planning on keeping the wheels and tryes. I'm working right now, but will try to respond to pm's.

Hi everyone, Sorry if this has been posted before, but check this out - by far the nicest aftermarket bonnet option I have see to date. Better than the AWC DRIFT bonnet also. It's made by a company called Agressive Auto Panels www.aggressiveautopanels.com PRICE is $1220 - excluding painting and freight. Weight is only 17kgs, meaning suits standard gas struts. Thoughts? Thanks dude. This car won't be a gearbox breaking, neck snapping monster. Plans are - custom bodykit, intercooler, EDIT, exhaust, injectors - around 320rwkw (enough to keep the HSV pricks honest).

I'd prefer to sell it as a whole kit mate - makes it easier than to leave me with a front bar and spoiler. Let me know what would you offer and I'll keep it in mind. Cheers Dave ...sh*t, sorry, that was meant to be a reply to a pm.

Take one sour divorce (with extended and expensive repercusions), one sick boy who I'd do anything for (Josh is now 100% and kickin' arse), moved house, a new job, and a newborn little girl 5 weeks ago....you get the picture. Don't count on it iv'e got a full BF F6 body kit I haven't been able to sell although it's in rapid, no one wants an original kit when you can buy cheap glass copies. ← That just means you're asking too much for it dude. I'm open to any reasonable offer.

Hi Everyone, Seems I've finally got my sh*t together and will be buying an F6 today. I won't be keeping the exterior stock. Anyone with a Bionic XR6T that's interested in the bodykit? Brand new, front bar, side skirts, rear bar, maybe even the rear spoiler. What would be a reasonable price? Cheers Dave

I like the look of the Aurion. It looks like a more cohesive, free flowing and sporty design than the BF as well as the VE Commodore. I hope these cars do well, and they will. The competition will only force Ford and GMH to lift the quality standards. If a supercharged version were released, made to look tougher, and was set up to avoid torque steer (much like the new Mazpa 3MPS which I've driven - a seriously quick little car), it would be a car I'd consider taking for a drive. The Aussie car enthusiast needs more to chose from than just an SS, XR8, XR6T etc. Bring it on Toyota... Ford, your move..

I don't believe FPV plan on any upgrade to engine output, etc on BF Mk2 variants. All effort from FPV is now on Orion. Trial engines are currently in testing in BF mules. Target figures are Typhoon I6 spec 300 kW @ 600 NM, GT Boss spec 320 kW @ 600 NM. Also FPV are tossing up on a Territory Turbo variant, which will use a Typhoon spec engine, with possibly a different diff ratio, brake upgrade + minor cosmetic changes. If this happens it will probably occur before Orion becomes a physical reality. That's what I've heard on the grapevine..... Robin. ← Thanks for the info Robin and everyone else. Great news about the 2 new models, they would fit a growing niche market. But, as far as standard XR6 and F6 Mk II's go, there are no cosmetic or power changes? That's still dissapointing. The F6's title of Australian Performance Car of the Year will be a very short-lived reign with HSV's new offering. I was hoping for some minor cosmetic/wheel/trim and power changes to justify waiting for the BF Mk II. What's on offer to make me wait now, new colours to choose from?

Hi everyone, Does anyone know what we can expect from the BF Mk II? I spoke to a dealer yesterday who said there are no power increases in the XR8's and XR6T's. In fact, the only changes are dash and trim. Is that right? What about FPV? He told me I'll have to wait until late December for the Mk II FPV's and again, there are no power increases! If this is right, the blue oval will be behind the eight ball compared to Expensive Daewoo and HSV. I want to order a Typhoon ASAP, but wonder if there is any point waiting for the upcoming release. Come on Ford and FPV...don't let us down.

AWC are developing a bonnet specifically for the XR6T/F6. I'd like to see what it looks like.

14 years of driving Holdens/HSV's before taking a "risk" and buying a stock phantom XR6T. As I progressively modified it, that car became everything I ever wanted in a car and made me a Ford Convert.

AWC products are A1. I bought my GT 2 leg wing for PASHEN and was completely happy with it. I see since then they have also made the DJR kit that I originally bought from C2R. One question though....where is the AWC XR6T/F6 bonnet?? Come on AWC, at least give us a sketch concept drawing or something. Give us a reason to hold off buying something else.. For now, the HO Interceptor bonnet is the only choice we have. Please?

Good results, I'm yet to hear of anyone that hasn't been pleased with their EDITED ride. Jeff's right though...hook up with a good tuner just to be sure she runs properly ALL the time.

Dude, as long as you're happy with your ride that's all that matters. I agree about the Blue Oval badge though...looks kinda naked without it - especially without the XR lights.
